Teacher in Xiuwu County, Henan Province, Fired from Work for Speaking about Falun Gong

(Minghui.org) Ms. Li Yinhua, a teacher in Xiuwu County, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, began practicing Falun Gong in April 2009. However, because of her belief, she was fired and has been out of work for over two years.

Ms. Li was a teacher at the No. 2 Middle School in Gaocun Town, Xiuwu County. After she read Zhuan Falun in April 2009, she came to understand how she should conduct herself in life. She has followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance and has become healthy physically and mentally through the practice. She let go of the attachment to self-interest and her short temper, and has handled conflicts in a peaceful manner. As a result, Ms. Li earned her colleagues' approval and her students' admiration. Soon after taking up the practice, her prolapse of the lumbar inter vertebral disc, a condition from which she had suffered for three years, was cured. She witnessed the miraculous healing power of Falun Gong through this experience.

Sometimes, Ms. Li told students about the goodness of Falun Gong and taught them to behave according to Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance. The headmaster, Xue Huahua, and the vice headmaster were surprised by the positive changes in her. Ms. Li told them that she changed because she began practicing Falun Gong. Xue was shocked to hear that and warned her not to clarify the facts about Falun Gong at school.

Deprived of Work

In December 2009, Li Yongfu, headmaster of Headquarter School of Gaocun Town, ordered Xue to bring Ms. Li to Headquarter School because it was rumored that she had clarified the facts about Falun Gong at school. Li Yongfu said that it was Xue who had reported this to him. Li Yongfu ordered Ms. Li to write a guarantee statement that she would never speak to people about Falun Gong at school again, but Ms. Li refused and told him that good and evil will always receive due consequences. Li Yongfu then fired her and forbade her from returning to campus.

Ms. Li has been unemployed since January 2010 and has lost her source of income. In the school's annual assessment, Xue Huahua then deliberately marked Ms. Li as “unqualified” because of her long-term absence and did not inform Ms. Li of the assessment results.

This year, when Ms. Li inquired to Li Yongfu about her job, she was told, “You have been fired, and the education department has reported you to the county government.”

Primary and Middle School Students in Xiuwu County Persecuted

In March 2010, the No. 2 Middle School in Gaocun Town ceased regular classes so that students could attend a lecture that slandered Falun Gong. The school also invited parents. According to collected reports, the county's education department ordered every school to appoint an employee whose responsibility would be exclusively to instill the notion into students that Falun Gong is a cult. The employees' names and the instructions from the county 610 Office were included in those reports.

Immediately after the semester began in September 2011, all of the schools conformed with the notice put forth by the education department to hold month-long activities reinforcing the slanderous lies against Falun Gong. The schools also coaxed students into signing guarantee statements promising not to practice Falun Gong.

We hope that more people in the education field learn the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution and make a righteous choice.
