(Minghui.org) More than ten Falun Gong practitioners are still being detained in the Lingnan Brainwashing Center in Zhaoyuan. Police from the 610 Office, the local police station, and staff from the brainwashing center are brutally torturing Chi Ruimei and Wang Kai (mother and daughter).
On March 23, 2012 , the Zhaoyuan 610 Office arrested Falun Gong practitioners Chi Ruimei and Wang Kai (mother and daughter) from Shagou Village, Biguo Town. On April 5, they arrested another nine Falun Gong practitioners. Two Falun Gong practitioners from Xialianzhuang, Fushan Town were arrested on May 5. Four Falun Gong practitioners from Daqinjia Town were arrested on May 12, and on May 22, Zhang Shuxiang from Zhaoyuan was arrested while she was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong in a market. These Falun Gong practitioners are being detained in the Lingnan Brainwashing Center.
The head of the brainwashing center is Li Haifeng, and the deputy head is Xu Jianzheng. Li Haifeng took over the position in April 2011. Since then, Ji Xiaodong (female) has become a group leader. In late November 2011, Ji Xiaodong, along with National Security Brigade personnel and Song Shaochang from the 610 Office and Qu Tao from the local police station, beat to death Falun Gong practitioner Zhang Guihao, from Chenjia Village, Fushan Town. Brainwashing center staff members Gao Shuhe and Liu Xuedong often torture Falun Gong practitioners. Wang Yuecheng, Du Weixian, and Sui Songna from the National Security Brigade also participate in mistreating practitioners. Song Shaochang is involved in every crime conducted at the brainwashing centers.
Police officer Song Shaochang, male, 42, is from Niantousongjia Village, Zhangxing Town. His father Song Xinyi was the director of the original Fushan Police Station. Song Shaochang has been committing evil deeds since he was young. He did many bad things after entering the police workforce, and even his peers look down on him because of this. He is very rampant in the persecution of Falun Gong. He and officer Li Jiangguang have participated in almost every local arrest of Falun Gong practitioners and the ransacking of their homes. He tortured Falun Gong practitioner Zheng Meijun and threatened to dump her into an abandoned mine. He tortured Yang Wenjie, and together with Li Jianguang, he tortured Kao Fuquan for five days and nights. In ordered the apprehension of Teng Yingfen, and used Teng Yingfen's daughter who was at college as a hostage. He also wrote slanderous letters to a famous university in Shanghai to prevent the university from accepting Teng Yingfen's daughter, a good student, into the graduate school. On December 1, 2011, Song Shaochang, along with Li Haifeng and Qu Tao, beat Falun Gong practitioner Zhang Guihao to death. On March 23, they arrested Chi Ruimei and Wang Kai, and repeatedly tortured them.
Since the persecution of Falun Gong began in 1999, Song Shaochang has participated in over one hundred arrests, robberies, tortures, and extortions of Falun Gong practitioners. In April 2011, he extorted 120,000 yuan in cash from a Falun Gong practitioner's family. Song Shaochang, who is despised by people, is treasured by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He was promoted to deputy head of the 610 Office in 2010.
