I started practicing Falun Dafa in China after graduating from high school in 2005. Not long after I started college, a student who did not understand the facts about Falun Dafa reported me to school administrators because I made truth-clarification phone calls to China, and I was expelled. After coming home, I never stopped working to save people! A year later, I retook the last year of school. During the same time, I clarified the facts by riding around on a motorcycle in the evenings, leaving my footprints everywhere in cities and the countryside. As I became more mature, I avoided intentionally exposing my activities for safety reasons. Meanwhile, I also gained more wisdom and used different ways to clarify the truth to different people.
Last year, I came to Korea. For more than eight months now, I have participated in the RTC (Rapid Telephone Call) platform for making truth-clarifying calls to those who persecute Falun Dafa practitioners in China. I would like to report my experiences to our benevolent Master and fellow practitioners.
A year of living abroad made me see the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) culture deeply ingrained within me, the good job that fellow practitioners have done abroad, and the distance between me and them. I know that making the best use of my time to cultivate earnestly is the only way forward. During my time on the RTC platform, I found and removed many attachments that I had never noticed before. Later I became a host on the platform, saving people together with fellow practitioners. Recalling that period of time, I feel extremely grateful for Master’s guidance! Thank you, Master!
I remember my first phone call. While watching a fellow practitioner talk loudly while missing key points, I offered to give it a try. I thought it would be quite easy because I had extensive experience with clarifying the truth face-to-face back in China. However, the moment I picked up the phone, my hands started sweating, and my body was shaking. I could not talk logically and only repeated the same point over and over again, which truly upset me. After hanging up, I felt so weak. I then stopped making calls until a fellow practitioner encouraged me to start again.
After calling five police stations, I could almost finish explaining the basic facts about Dafa over the phone, and two police officers agreed to withdraw from the Communist Party. I was quite happy at that moment, and I suddenly knew that Master was encouraging me to continue making calls. A practitioner said: “You are not bad! I don't need to tell you what to do now, and you can just talk on the phone like how you just did.” I was very excited. I knew that Master was encouraging me to continue to make calls, which may be part of my historic mission and vow. Master’s arrangement made me step out of fear! I gradually became more and more confident, and the results have gotten better and better. I know that without the help of fellow practitioners in pointing out my weaknesses, I could not have progressed this quickly. Our group discussions about how to face a variety of cases and people were also a big help.
I soon became a host on the platform. My quick progression amazed even my fellow practitioners. But I know deep down that it is Master who saw my dedicated heart and bestowed wisdom and benevolence on me.
The process of making calls brought to light many attachments that I had not seen in the previous seven years of cultivation. I feel sincerely grateful for Master's arrangement! For example, my combative mentality did not have a positive effect and only provoked arguments when I clarified the truth to police officers over the phone. My mentality of showing off was also very strong. There are many fellow practitioners on the platform, and everyone has an opportunity to present themselves. Thus, one quickly notices if he/she is showing off. When phone call results are good and we do not have the mentality of showing off, we are all able to learn from the experiences. Hence, the situation is like a mirror, and these mentalities can be removed directly. I had not realize how strong my undesirable mentalities were until I stepped onto the platform.
My helping to rescue fellow practitioners in China also paved my cultivation path! Here I need to thank Master again, as well as all the fellow practitioners on the platform and those who prepare cases behind the scenes.
Clarifying the truth to police officers requires righteous thoughts and wisdom. Some practitioners in mainland China have not been willing to reach out to them due to fear. Master told us to put others’ interests before our own and to consider others first. I wondered how to put these officers' interests first and achieve the state of truly eradicating the evil and saving people.
When I first started to make calls, I wanted to start by blurting out everything I knew to the person on the other end of the line. However, some police officers who were unclear about the facts showed disdain and ignorance, and some even stopped picking up calls, which made it harder to clarify the truth to them at a deeper level. When I calmed down and thought it over, I knew it was time for me to improve myself. I needed to think of different ways to address specific problems, rather than talking in the same pattern.
When talking about the issue of treating illness, Master said:
“Therefore, to really heal an illness and completely cure it requires supernormal abilities. There is a specific supernormal ability for curing every illness. With regard to the supernormal abilities for curing illnesses, I would say that there are over one thousand kinds, and that there are as many supernormal abilities as illnesses. Without these supernormal abilities it is useless, no matter how crafty your treatment may be.” (Zhuan Falun)
I have come to realize that those evil policemen are filled with evil thoughts, which are also matter. Since all matter is alive, those thoughts are just like an illness. We need cooperation to disintegrate them. When facing those people's evil behavior, we need to disintegrate their unscrupulous thoughts, which can be done by replying in stern voice with just words or making oblique references at times.
As Fa-rectification progresses, cosmic changes and the whole situation change very quickly. I am afraid that if we do not use time effectively, we may have regret in the future. I have also realized that making phone calls slowly is not in line with the present situation. After clarifying the truth to China's public security organs for so many years, the persecution is still rampant, and people who are still not clear about the facts are continuing their evil behavior. Many people we called could not be shaken, and their evil thoughts were not disintegrated effectively. I think strengthening our force of truth-clarification is a key factor in rescuing fellow practitioners, and cultivating ourselves is the highest priority.
Master said:
“For a Dafa disciple, cultivation is first priority. That’s because if you fail to cultivate well, you will not be able to accomplish what you are to do; and if you fail to cultivate well, your power to save sentient beings will not be that great.” (“Dafa Disciples Must Study the Fa - Fa Teaching Given at the 2011 Washington DC Metro Area Fa Conference”)
Master also said:
“In the near future, people in this world will realize that Dafa disciples are saving people. It is something that you definitely have to do better at, and do with greater strength. So this requires that you cooperate well. If you fail to cooperate well, the evil really will exploit your weaknesses and you will suffer major losses. Losses, that is, in terms of both individual cultivation as well as our group projects that are meant to save sentient beings.” (“Be More Diligent”)
Cooperation is very crucial. If we all do well in self-cultivation and cooperation as the whole, the power can cut through boundless hills, extirpating all evil. What we say must be careful and accurate, with rational logic and examples. Only if we can improve our calling skills, identify the attachments and fear in people, address their key problems more wisely, disintegrate the evil factors behind them, and project Dafa disciples' dignity and benevolence will we be able to rescue fellow practitioners and save more beings.
Once, an elderly female practitioner made a call to a guard in Liaoning Prison. The guard began interrogating the practitioner but was moved by the old lady's sincerity. The guard listened to a lot of basic facts about Dafa but finally remained unconvinced. I then called the guard again myself. Since the elderly practitioner had talked to the guard very kindly, I decided to speak in a more serious tone. I said to the guard: “I am not here to ask anything from you. You should think about this: How can I know your information? Have you ever thought about it? Is there any regime that can last forever? If you don’t expose others’ crimes or keep a way open for retreat, others will expose your crimes to give themselves a way out. Do you understand what I am saying? There are a lot of news and information you guys cannot see [in China]. If we didn't pity you, we would not have made these calls to tell you what to do.” With an air of confidence, I told her a lot of facts and examples. Finally, she nervously asked for the number of the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong. Fellow practitioners and I all felt that this call was pretty successful. However, the next prison guard I called had a negative attitude. Because her voice sounded familiar, I asked if she was the one I had just talked with. She did not reply and never picked up the phone again. I believe it was the same person. This made me realize how hard it is to truly change someone beyond the surface. But I will never lose confidence, and I know things will work out with perseverance.
On the RTC platform, each practitioner's participation contributes enormous power. Sometimes we concentrated ourselves and had more than a hundred practitioners making calls together, targeting different evil departments in the same area; that power was too strong to describe. All the evil Party’s departments in that area were astonished. The perpetrators became scared when they kept hearing from practitioners abroad; some were not even brave enough to acknowledge their identities. When we heard news of our success after receiving thank-you letters from practitioners in mainland China who were rescued as a result of our efforts, we felt truly happy. We saw that we actually have great power, formed by the entire platform.
Fellow practitioners in mainland China need support from practitioners abroad. The main portion of Dafa disciples is in China. The persecution is still going on, and up to twenty reports of persecution cases are posted on the Minghui website everyday. In many areas, people need to hear the facts before, rather than after, the persecution actually happens.
The difference between calling on the RTC platform and calling by myself is the rate of improvement. After joining the platform as a new volunteer, it took only one month for me to become a shift host. I learned a lot from other practitioners' experiences and acquired the skills, hosting methods, and ability to handle special situations. I have come across a variety of perpetrators who persecute Dafa disciples: Some were hypocritical or abusive, a few participated in brainwashing classes, some tried to trick information out of us, some spewed the evil Party's propaganda at us, some spoke in mysterious and incomprehensible ways, etc. If we do not cooperate as the whole body, it is very hard to do well overall. For example, after a practitioner makes a call, other practitioners may then call again to follow up. We evaluate every practitioner's skills objectively, to reach the goal of completely disintegrating evil beings through our calls.
Each involved practitioner said they improved greatly while on the platform. Sometimes, when one practitioner's call fails to connect, the call would succeed with fellow practitioners' coordinated righteous thoughts. When one person could not see a problem, other practitioners would kindly point it out. We all can learn from others' successful points and shining examples. Three times every day, a host leads the Fa-study session. We study the Fa, make calls, discuss experiences and strategies, and send forth righteous thoughts together! We never slack off in doing the three things and focus on how we study and cultivate. In this way, more and more practitioners are joining the RTC platform, everyone is cooperating well, and we can rescue more practitioners and save sentient beings!
I still have a lot of things that I don't do well on and attachments that I haven't removed. My level is limited. Thank you, great benevolent Master! Thank you, fellow practitioners who are on the path to godhood. Please point out and correct any shortcomings! Heshi!
