(Minghui.org) After a petition signed by 700 villagers in Hebei Province to rescue Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Lankui was exposed in the media, high-level Chinese Communist Party (CCP) government agents were sent to Hebei Province to “investigate” this incident and persecute local villagers and their families. Villagers who had a sense of justice were not intimidated by the CCP, and now even more have continued the rescue work demanding an immediate release of the innocent Mr. Li Lankui.
Police from Hebei Province arrested numerous Falun Gong practitioners in Shijiazhuang and its' surrounding areas since August. Ms. Yang Yinqiao fell off from a building and died during the arrest. Mr. Jia Zhijiang and his wife Ms. Li Rongmei are still missing, and their 12 year old child is left alone at home. Despite these incidents, the persecution continues. Over 900 people in Hebei Province have signed a third petition to rescue Mr. Li Lankui. It demands that the CCP stop persecuting Falun Gong and face up to the voice of the Chinese people and the international community.
Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Lankui, from Donganfeng Village in Zhengding County, Hebei Province, is well known in his community. He trades fairly and likes to help others. His arrest by Zhengding County police angered local people, some started collecting signatures in an effort to rescue Mr. Li.
Looking back at July 1999, when Jiang Zemin launched the persecution of Falun Gong, the rumors spread by the CCP media deceived many civilians. As a result they had misunderstandings about Falun Gong. After more than ten years of truth clarification efforts by Falun Gong practitioners in China and overseas, the lies are being exposed, and the CCP is no longer able to fool its citizens. Citizens in China are openly attempting to rescue Falun Gong practitioners.
History will eventually prove that violence and evil can never overshadow justice and conscience. At this historical moment, if those who participated in the persecution of Falun Gong do not turn back and compensate for their sins, they will be destined to face retribution. People who demonstrate justice and courage will have bright futures.
