(Minghui.org) Ms. Zhao from Heilongjiang Province has been practicing Falun Dafa for 16 years. She asked me to write an article about her cultivation experiences to share with fellow practitioners.
Obtaining the Fa
Ms. Zhao obtained the Fa in 1996. Prior to cultivation, she had very poor health. One day, she heard that people were practicing Falun Gong in the gym, and someone told her to give it a try.
Shortly after she did the exercises, Ms. Zhao heard a sound in another dimension. Just as Master said,
“If you’re able to receive and hear their talking (some people’s Celestial Ears are open, and when those Ears are open they can hear them talking) you can’t hear them that clearly.” (“The Third Talk” in Zhuan Falun)
Her health became better and better. Her heart disease, from which she had been suffering for many years, also disappeared. Sometimes she spent nights studying the Fa. She felt that she was making breakthroughs in cultivation every day, and her mind was constantly being purified.
When someone who owed Ms. Zhao 4,000 yuan refused to repay her, she said to herself, “Nothing happens without a reason.” She gradually eliminated her attachments to her own self-interest.
Prior to cultivation, her family ran a small business. By doing the exercises regularly, she became healthier and healthier. Her business got better and better as well.
To Beijing to Validate the Fa
On July 20, 1999, the Jiang regime started the brutal persecution of Falun Dafa. In the beginning of 2000, so that more people could learn that Falun Dafa was good, although she was facing a lot of pressure, Ms. Zhao went out to tell people the truth about Dafa.
In 2001, after the self-immolation case fabricated by the Communist Party was publicized, she told her husband, “Dafa saved my life, and now it has been attacked for no reason. I need to go to Beijing to speak out for Dafa.” Her husband understood and agreed that she could go to Beijing to validate the Fa.
If you did not have your identification card, you could not buy a train ticket at that time. Ms. Zhao thought to herself, “They should not look at my ID. I must go to Beijing no matter what.” She bought her ticket with righteous thoughts and got to Beijing.
The next morning, Ms. Zhao went to Tiananmen Square by herself, but she did not see any other practitioners. She asked herself, “What am I doing here in Beijing?” Then she shouted, “Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is good!” After a moment of silence, a group of ignorant officers hurried over and dragged her into a police car. She told them the facts about Falun Gong in the car.
She was taken to Qianmen Police Station, where there was a large cage in which practitioners were held. She saw the police officers beating practitioners. At that moment, Master's words popped into her mind: “If you can let go of life and death, you’re a God; if you can’t let go of life and death, you’re a human...” (“Teaching the Fa in New York City” in Lectures in the United States) Just as they were about to put her in the cage, one officer told her to come out of the room and offered her water. He knew that she was from Heilongjiang Province and started to chat with her.
Shortly after that, someone from her hometown's liaison office in Beijing took her to a hotel. A hotel employee said, “This lady is very nice.” Six to seven practitioners in the hotel were handcuffed, but she was not. When she heard someone beating practitioners or saying something bad about Dafa, she would tell to the hotel employees the truth about Dafa. When she was talking, even the head of the police station would stand there and listen to her carefully.
After Ms. Zhao was taken home from Beijing, she was put in a detention center. The head of the police station often talked with her. As they talked with each other time and again, he learned the truth about Falun Gong, and he has not mistreated practitioners since. She was released after being in the detention center for over 40 days.
Never Stop Saving Sentient Beings
After Ms. Zhao returned home from the detention center, she was planning to tell her friends about the beauty of Dafa at her birthday party. Before her birthday, she invited the police officers who used to mistreat her to come to her party. They were really surprised, “Don't you hate us?” She replied, “Dafa practitioners do not hate anyone. You have been deceived, so I do not hate you.” At the party, she used a microphone to explain the facts about Dafa.
In 2001, Ms. Zhao established a Fa-study group in her home. Sometimes as many as 14 practitioners attended.
After 2002, the police often harassed her. She said to herself, “We have been doing good things. Why should we be afraid of them? They are not good enough to test me.”
One day, Ms. Zhao went to a company to distribute truth-clarification materials when she was reported and taken to the residential committee. The young man who caught her said, “You look like a nice person. Why do you do such things?” She said, “You must have misunderstandings about Falun Gong. We have been doing good things!” Then she talked to him about the truth of Falun Gong, and the young man understood. He said, “My father used to practice Falun Gong, but he later quit later because he was too afraid.” A director of the residential committee asked her, “How do you do the exercises?” She answered, “Well, we not only do the exercises, but we also try to be good people by cultivating our heart nature.” She said to them, “You should believe that Falun Dafa is good.” They replied multiple times, “Yes, we will remember it. You should take care, Madam!”
During the time when the persecution was very severe, she went out to distribute truth-clarification materials every day. Later on, one practitioner was illegally arrested. Someone told her to hide Master's portrait. She said, “No, it should not be hidden. I will protect it with my life.” That night, she had a dream that Master said to her, “Your home is protected by me and no one can enter it.”
In the second half of 2002, the local coordinators were illegally arrested. Practitioners in the city asked Ms. Zhao to be the new coordinator.
In that year, Ms. Zhao's eldest son lost his job and was involved in a murder. She felt very sad for her son, but within a very short period of time, she got rid of the interference caused by her feelings for her son and picked herself back up.
One day when Ms. Zhao and another practitioner went to a prison to hang truth-clarification banners, a police car followed them, but they were unaware of it. The police caught up to them and said, “This banner looks very nice. You can go. It's not your business. It is all about her (referring to the other practitioner).” Ms. Zhao thought, “I should not leave her on her own.” So they took both women to the police station.
In the police station, one officer said to her, “Someone previously reported you because you have a Fa-study site in your home. Each time we've waited until everyone left before we went to your home. We have been protecting you. Are you aware of that?” She replied, “You have protected Dafa practitioners, and you will be rewarded.”
Another police officer said, “She should be held in the detention center this time.” Ms. Zhao thought, “I should not be detained since I need to save people tomorrow.” Just then her younger son showed up at the station and shouted, “Why is my mother here? What did she do wrong if she only did some exercises?” Seeing her son was there, one officer mused, “It seems that your son does not care whether you practice Falun Gong or not.” She said, “I have been doing good things, and they all support me.” As she was talking, she and the other practitioner looked very ill. The police got quite concerned and asked her son to take the two of them away.
Ms. Zhao is busy telling people the facts about Falun Gong every day. She does things the way Master has said to do them. In 2005, the coordinators who were illegally arrested were released, and she asked them to be the coordinators again.
After the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published, Ms. Zhao started to distribute the booklet. Her children sometimes helped transport booklets and distribute materials. Her children not only agreed to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations, but also helped their colleagues and friends to quit. Some of her children even became Dafa practitioners.
In order to help practitioners in the countryside save sentient beings, Ms. Zhao bought three computers and helped them establish truth-clarification material production centers. Over her 16 years of cultivation, her deepest understanding is that every righteous thought comes from within the Fa.
