(Minghui.org) “All practitioners did their best in the process of rescuing the two practitioners. Everyone wanted to help and no one told others what to do. We felt the mighty power of the Fa and experienced the Great Way without form when we coordinated and worked as one body. It felt like everyone's xinxing had reached a high level and Master was coordinating everything. When someone proposed something, no one objected. They only gave advice on how to make up for the less perfect parts and quietly helped perfect them.” - By the author
Last year, Practitioners A and B, who are husband and wife, were illegally arrested. After school, when their child returned home and saw the mess made by the police, the child came to my house. My wife, also a practitioner, called me after she learned what had happened. I took several days off work and went home. We notified the practitioners we knew and told them about A and B's arrest. I didn't know why they were arrested, although I was with them the day before. I wanted to ensure my own safety, so I stayed home all night sending righteous thoughts to negate the persecution instead of going to the police station to protest their arrest. I felt very ashamed of myself.
None of us had a clue about what to do during the first week after their arrest. We only informed other practitioners we knew and continued to find out what had really happened. We also found A and B's relatives and asked them to work with us to rescue them. Each step of the rescue was difficult. I couldn't calm down when I sent righteous thoughts at home. I was interrupted with all kinds of thoughts after hearing that A and B's case was listed as top priority by the police. It was being handled by a higher authority and not the local officials. B might be subjected to major interrogation and torture, the two of them might die from torture this time. Practitioner A might give in to the police and disclose information about other practitioners. The police had followed A and B for years, so they knew a lot about their activities. All these rumors made the situation complicated.
Looking Within and Negating the Persecution
Every practitioner looked within and realized many issues. We had been having arguments with A and B for a long time. Neither we nor A and B could look within and try to see things differently. Both sides were stubborn and thought the other party was at fault, so both parties refused to compromise. Furthermore, A and B did not pay attention to their safety. There were always a lot of people going in and out of their home. Practitioner A liked to help his friends and other practitioners (including practitioners from out of town) with their work. He was so busy that he did not have time to calm down and study the Fa. B was not serious about cultivation and was always busy with housework and taking care of their child. She also spent a lot of time at work. We had mentioned these issues to A and B on several occasions. However, we eventually let it slide, believing that A was a good practitioner and it was just a temporary state in his cultivation. He also told us that he didn't believe there was a problem.
The issue of secret police agents also caused a big problem in our rescue effort. One practitioner who works in the police department told us that the authorities were trying to make an example out of A and B by making their case a big deal. As a result, practitioners who didn't know each other and had to work together were suspicious of each other. They were also nervous and alert all the time. We realized that we couldn't let the secret agents break us down from the inside. The only way to solve the problem was to purify ourselves and eliminate the dimension where the secret agents existed. We all looked within, quickly calmed down, and became more rational.
We did not complain about Practitioners A and B in the process of looking within. We found and rectified many attachments that we had, including being dependent on others, not wanting trouble, not taking responsibility, liking to argue, jealousy, stubbornness, wanting to validate ourselves, the attachment to fame and lust, the show off mentality, and laziness. We knew that, for each attachment we eliminated, A and B's dimension would be purer. Every time we recognized an attachment, we would sit down to send righteous thoughts to eliminate it—and all the related deteriorated elements in everyone's dimension.
Coordinating and Becoming a Great Way Without Form
All practitioners did their best in the process of rescuing the two practitioners. Everyone wanted to help and no one told others what to do. We felt the mighty power of the Fa and experienced the Great Way without form when we coordinated and worked as one body. It felt like everyone's xinxing had reached a high level and Master was coordinating everything. When someone proposed something, no one objected. They only gave advice on how to make up for the less perfect parts and quietly helped perfect them.
One of the practitioners dealt with the police and officials. He slept two to three hours a day. He was the only person doing it, so he didn't have time to study the Fa clearheadedly. Two weeks later, he was physically and mentally exhausted. He decided to step down and readjust himself. At that time, it just so happened that two other practitioners volunteered to take over his role.
Although no one took charge of making arrangements for practitioners to accompany A and B's relatives to different government offices to demand their release, we were always able to find someone to go with them. When their relatives needed to go somewhere, a practitioner who could best help them would show up. On other occasions, we would ask a suitable practitioner to help out, and it always turned out that the practitioner we needed was fine with the arrangement. We had different practitioners do various things, such as receiving A and B's family members, taking care of their child, going to different offices to clarify the truth and demand their release, clarifying the truth to their family, regularly sending righteous thoughts at home, and making and delivering informational materials. We also had the support of practitioners from outside China with the rescue effort. The Fa is omnipotent.
Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts
A practitioner proposed that we needed to have people send righteous thoughts around the clock so that the evil would not have time to its their breath. We all agreed and scheduled different groups of practitioners to send righteous thoughts at different time slots throughout the day. There were several people in each group just in case one of them couldn't send righteous thoughts at that time.
I remember when I sent righteous thoughts, the minute I sat down, I felt that I sat in a mechanism Master had already arranged and that I was able to assimilate to that mechanism. My mind was extremely pure and my power was strong enough to split a mountain. Each time I could feel that I destroyed immeasurable amounts of evil with my righteous thoughts. Afterward, I felt I had more energy than I ever needed and was full of confidence.
Saving people
We came to the consensus that rescuing A and B was giving us an opportunity to save sentient beings. We knew that A and B's families didn't agree with their practicing Falun Dafa. This was the best opportunity to clarify the facts of the persecution to them. We also talked to A and B's coworkers, supervisors, and the police who carried out the arrest.
We found A and B's brothers and sisters and asked to accompany them to different organizations to demand A and B's release. This way, we were able to clarify the truth to different organizations. We put A's two sisters and B's two brothers in a hotel to make it easier for us to contact them. We then told them about the benefits of practicing Falun Dafa and how people around the world support the practice and object to the persecution. We also told them how it was illegal for the police to arrest their sibling. B's brothers had a strong sense of justice and agreed to participate in the rescue. A's sisters were very upset and complained that he got them into trouble. We continued to clarify the truth until their attitude changed and they agreed to help with the rescue effort.
We also went to talk to A and B's supervisors. B's direct supervisor was very sympathetic and was willing to offer possible help. We then talked to the general secretary of the company and she wanted us to talk to the people in the supervising 610 Office. A few practitioners accompanied the families to clarify the truth to the agents at the 610 Office at B's workplace while several others sent righteous thoughts outside. Later, we went to the public security bureau several times and to the police station to talk to the officer who arrested A and B. However, we were shuffled between different departments and offices because each one said that they had nothing to do with the arrest and tried to shirk their responsibility. We patiently clarified the truth to each of them. We talked to A and B's coworkers by sending them letters, fliers, and emails or having practitioners outside China call them.
A few days later, A's sisters said that they had to go back to work. A week later, one of B's brothers said that he had done his best and had to go back to work. We were left with only B's eldest brother. Three weeks passed, and B's oldest brother had to leave because of his family. We needed to find other family members to continue the rescue. We remembered that B's elderly father lived in another province far away. A male practitioner traveled to his place and brought him back. B's father was a vegetarian, so we arranged for him to stay in a hotel next to a vegetarian restaurant. However, several days later B's father couldn't take it. He was very disappointed with the attitude of the police and couldn't stand the pressure. We had to let him return home. At that time, we recalled that A's mother, also a practitioner, was living with one of his sisters. When we asked A's mother to help, the two sisters strongly objected, saying that we were going to cause their mother trouble by doing this. We reminded them that if we didn't get A released in time, he might die in prison because of the torture, as this had happened a lot to other practitioners. They finally agreed to let their mother help us.
When A's mother came, she cried for the first two days. A practitioner accompanied her to study the Fa and share her understanding with her. Gradually, her righteous thoughts became stronger, and she was determined to rescue her son and daughter-in-law. Suddenly, her eyes brightened, her complexion turned rosy, she stopped coughing and panting and she was able to straighten her back! Just as suddenly, A and B returned home. Their families realized that we practitioners were one indestructible body and were very moved. B's brother said to us, “You won!” A and B also had strong righteous thoughts. When A was seized, the authorities did try to make an example of him and wanted to have a big trial. In the end, however, nothing happened. A was not hurt at all and was not even interrogated once. B went on a hunger strike to protest the arrest after finding her attachments. Her righteous thoughts grew stronger. She seemed very energetic after her return.
In the rescue process, no one complained about A and B, and we all wanted to help 100 percent. I believe that complaining about them would have been a manifestation of not being able to look within. It would have been acknowledging the old forces out of a belief that when a practitioner makes a mistake, he/she deserves what happens to him/her. We are Falun Dafa practitioners and are the brand new lives Master protects. When other practitioners are in trouble, we should quickly get them out of trouble instead of trying to figure out how they got into it.
