(Minghui.org) On January 18, Gema Merdeka Radio (FM97.7) in Bali invited two Falun Gong practitioners to introduce the practice and discuss the ongoing persecution in China to its listeners.
Falun Gong practitioners were invited to a radio talk show to introduce Falun Gong
The radio show host began the program by asking, “What is Falun Gong?” and, “Why is the practice being persecuted?”
In response, a practitioner explained, “Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, was introduced to the public in May 1992 by Master Li Hongzhi. The guiding principle is Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The practice has five sets of exercises and is currently practiced by over 100 million people around the world. As validated by countless practitioners, the practice brings people health and uplifts moral character. The Chinese Communist regime started to persecute this group because the regime advocates violence and evil and thus will not allow people to follow the principles of Falun Gong.”
After this introduction, radio listeners started to call in to ask the practitioners questions. People from Singaraja, Ubud, Klungkung, Bangli, Kintamani, and Karangasem called in. The questions ranged from queries about how to learn the practice, the relationship between Falun Gong and Buddhism, to whether the practice has any political pursuit. The practitioners answered all of the questions and clarified several misconceptions that had resulted from propaganda from the Chinese Communist regime.
