(Minghui.org) When Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Chunsheng returned home to Tianshui City after having gone to another city on the evening of September 15, 2013, his wife, Ms. Jia Minglan, a practitioner and a former middle school teacher in Henan Province, was not at home. Their home was in disarray and the computer, Falun Gong books, and truth-clarification materials about Falun Gong were missing.
Mr. Li inquired about his wife's whereabouts that evening, but was unsuccessful. His son went to the Domestic Security Division of the Maiji District Police Department the next day and was told that Ms. Jia was held at the Domestic Security Division and the family didn't have permission to visit.
She was arrested because she went to a store on the 2nd Street in Maiji on September 14 and tried to inform people about Falun Gong by posting up some information.
The police are planning to have Ms. Jia sentenced to prison.
Ms. Jia was later secretly transferred to the Maiji Detention Center. Her family was not notified and there was no arrest warrant or any other legal procedure.
The guard of the detention center called Ms. Jia's family on the afternoon of September 17, asking them to bring bedding and a change of clothes. Mr. Li Chunsheng and the son went to the detention center with the bedding and clothes, but were not allowed to see her.
Ms. Jia's family has not been allowed to visit her, nor did they receive any legal documents. The family is worried about Ms. Jia.
