(Minghui.org) Ms. Wang Fuhua is an elementary school teacher, and a resident of Chenzhou City, Hunan Province. Since the persecution of Falun Gong began, Ms. Wang has been arrested five times. She was once sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor and detained in the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp. Her forced labor term was later extended for another year. Her home had previously been ransacked four times. She was fired and also forced to divorce her husband.
Ms. Wang had suffered many kinds of brutal torture, including “carrying a sword on one's back,” hung up, brutally beatings, long-term standing and squatting, brainwashing, force-feeding, being shocked with electric batons, wearing shackles, and sleep deprivation torture. During force-feeding, three of her front teeth were knocked out and another two became very loose.
Below is Ms. Wang's personal account of the persecution she suffered, including the “carrying a sword” torture in Beijing.

On October 27, 1999, I planned to go to Beijing with other practitioners to appeal for the justice of Falun Gong. However, police intercepted us at the train station. They confiscated several thousand yuan in cash and detained us at the Chenzhou City Detention Center for a month.
I finally arrived in Beijing on May 1, 2000. I first went to the State Bureau of Appeals. Many plainclothes officers were everywhere and they arrested practitioners who tried to appeal. On the third day in Beijing, I went to Tiananmen Square. I found a place to sit down and then began to peacefully do the Falun Gong meditation exercise. Two policemen suddenly pulled me up forcibly and carried me into a police car. I was sent to the Qianmen Police Station where many Falun Gong practitioners from all over the country were being detained.
During the interrogation the police tortured me with the “carrying a sword” torture method in order to force me to tell them my home address. With one hand pulled over my shoulder and the other pulled up from behind, I was handcuffed behind my back. Police officers pulled on my hands really hard while locking the handcuffs. It felt like my arms were about to break.

They also forced my feet apart and I had to stay in a half squatting position. One officer stepped on my foot and punched me now and then. Another officer grabbed one of my hands and shook it to make the handcuff cut into my flesh. A large policeman later kicked me down and then pulled me up again. Another policeman lit a cigarette and stuck it into one of my nostrils. He knew that Falun Gong practitioners do not smoke and did it on purpose to torment me.
It was so painful that sweat soaked my clothes. Due to the smoke, my face was covered in tears and sweat. I was unable to bear it and lost consciousness.
When I regained my consciousness, they took off the handcuffs. I was really weak and my hands were numb. My fingers didn't regain feeling until four months later.
One younger man from Wuhan City, Hubei Province also suffered this torture. His face was really pale as a result, like a patient with a serious illness. One young woman from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province was brutally beaten in the basement of the Qianmen Police Station. She was on the verge of death with cuts and bloody injuries all over her body.
