Retired Man Benefits from Knowing the Facts
In the fall of 2007, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Cui (pseudonym) ran into an elderly man. She greeted him, clarified the facts about Falun Dafa to him and gave him a Shen Yun Performing Arts DVD.
They met again in a short while. The man said that Shen Yun's performance on the DVD was very nice and gave him a comfortable feeling. He said that he really wanted to read Zhuan Falun, the main text of Falun Dafa, so Ms. Li gave him a copy.
After reading the book once, the man told Ms. Li:"Nowadays people all pursue material things, the government is so corrupt, and civilization is no longer good. This book teaches people to be good. Falun Dafa is truly a righteous Fa. I am in my 90s already. I taught my whole life. Even though I have been strict with myself, it is still far from the requirements of Dafa. From now on, I will think of others more and will not be picky when it comes to food. When seeing bricks or other items lying around on the street, I'll pick them up throw them away.
“I am entitled to have a caregiver and the government will pay for this expense; however, I got rid of that thought. Anything that I can take care of myself, I will go ahead and do it. I always think, 'Falun Dafa is wonderful.' As a result, I am always in high spirits, and am seldom ill. When I had a little discomfort, I didn't feel like taking any medication. My daughters, sons, daughter-in-laws and grandsons have come to realize that I have benefited a great deal from knowing the truth about Dafa. They all consider Dafa to be wonderful, too.”
The elderly man took his copy of Zhuan Falun with him when he visited his daughter in Xinjiang Province. His son-in-law is the president of a hospital. He read Zhuan Falun , too, and considered it such a precious book that he made a copy for himself.
The elderly man's grandson lives in the U.S. He asked his grandson to record a parade of practitioners there, since such a parade is not allowed to take place in China. While viewing the recording, the elderly man excitedly repeated, "Falun Dafa is wonderful!"
Honest and Kind Farmer Regains Happiness
Xiao Feng, a farmer from Liaozhong County, Liaoning Province, is 50 years old. He is an honest and kind person, and he never argues with others. About 20 years ago, he experienced spirit possession. Because of that, he couldn't help but jump into a river and run into a car. He then lost his ability to work and became bedridden. His family of three led a difficult life.
Early this year, Xiao Feng talked to his relative who practices Falun Dafa. He said: “Your family is doing so well. I also want to listen to Teacher's lectures, too.” His relative bought him a MP3 player and downloaded Teacher's lectures.
Xiao Feng listened to the lectures every day. He really enjoyed listening to them. After that, he began to read Zhuan Falun . The more he read, the more he wanted to read. He wanted to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance described in the teaching.
Xiao Feng's physical condition started to improve. Soon, he was able to help his wife with the work in the field.
His neighbors had insects that plagued their crops, yet Xiao Feng's crops didn't have any. His fellow villagers were truly amazed that his crops were bug-free. He said to them: "It is Falun Dafa that has changed my life; it has truly changed my life."
For over 20 years, Xiao Feng has raised pigs to earn some extra income. However, the pigs had never given birth to piglets. This year, they had piglets two times.
Now, Xiao Feng's family is leading a very happy life.
Man Recovers His Driver's License
One afternoon, my brother-in-law had been looking for his driver's license for quite some time. He looked everywhere, in his car and at home, but just couldn't find it.
The next morning, my sister and brother-in-law searched for it again, but to no avail. My brother-in-law visited me at 10 a.m., and I invited him to eat with me. He said: "I am not in the mood to eat anything, because I can't find my driver's license."
I replied: "If you recite 'Falun Dafa is good,' you will find it. When I can't find something, I always recite 'Falun Dafa is good,' and then I find it."
He walked away after hearing me out.
At noon, I suddenly heard my sister shouting that she found the driver's license. She said it was in a drawer. My brother-in-law said that he had searched for it there a few times, but couldn't find it.
He told me: "You had told me to recite 'Falun Dafa is good.' I wasn't sure if it would work, but figured I might as well give it a try. I recited it more than 100 times." Then my sister found his driver's license.
