(Minghui.org) The persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in Pangjia Village, Wenkou Town, the Daiyue District, Taian City, Shandong Province, was reported on August 19, 2013, on the Minghui website.
The local Chinese Communist Party (CCP) committee was infuriated. For several days, they threatened, harassed, and held the villagers and slandered Falun Gong practitioners in an attempt to cover up their crimes.
The population of Pangjia Village is less than 800. Before July 1999, there were more than 30 practitioners in the village. After persecution began in 1999, local Party officials saw Pangjia Village as a key place to destroy Falun Gong. For 14 years, the practitioners there have been persecuted. One passed away due to persecution, two were sentenced to prison, six were put into labor camps, and four were kept in the detention center.
On August 20 2013, Wenkou Police Station officers summoned the villagers and Falun Gong practitioners of Pangjia Village. They claimed to be investigating a Jinan Railway Police Station case that was offering a reward. They claimed to be checking ID's, household registrations, and telephones, but their true intent was to threaten the villagers to remain silent regarding the persecution.
Because the CCP secretary of the village fled to escape punishment and Xu Zhenshan had to take care of his wife, who was critically ill, this time the accountant Zhao Chuanyou, Pang Yingming, and his gang organized things. They used loud speakers on the telephone poles to summon the villagers and Falun Gong practitioners, including a 65-year-old disabled person, to the CCP committee office. They interrogated them and compared their handwriting.
In fact, a few days prior, the railway police had already investigated the shops along the major roads and closed the investigation. The reason the village committee and police got so many people involved is that they wanted to intimidate the villagers and keep them from reporting their crimes.
From the beginning of the persecution, the CCP of Wenkou Town ordered its members (Xu Zhengui, Xu Zhenshan, Zhao Chuanyou, Pang Yingming and villagers Xu Xingde, Hou Yinggui, among others) to badmouth Falun Gong and incite the villagers to hate Falun Gong practitioners.
On Chinese New Year's Eve, 2013 (February 9, 2013), the power went out in Pangjia Village. Party member Xu Xingde started a rumor that the power outage was caused by practitioner Xu Xingyue, who was going to lead other practitioners to blow up Sanxia Dam. Actually, Xu Xingyue had died at the end of 2011 as a result of being persecuted by the CCP.
Because the Falun Gong practitioners in the village saw through the intent of this rumor, they were not affected in the least. The officials broadcast this rumor for four or five days, but to no avail.
They then directed Zhao Chuanyou and Pang Yingming to broadcast the rumor that practitioners would blow up Jinpu Railway, and the police came to investigate.
Zhao Chuanyou and Pang Yingming actively followed the CCP to persecute Falun Gong. The CCP rewarded them with possessions stolen from Falun Gong practitioners.
