Additional Persecution News from China – September 21, 2013 (6 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from mainland China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 7 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 3 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Mr. Si Hanwei and His Wife Arrested
2. [Wuxue City, Hubei Province] Mr. Xia Mingliang Detained

6. [Zhongwei City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. You Haijun and Mr. Ding Qian Detained

1. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Mr. Si Hanwei and His Wife Arrested

Mr. Si Hanwei and his wife were arrested by officers from the Kaifeng City Police Department at noon on September 18, 2013. Forcibly taking the couple's house key, officers entered their home and confiscated their computer, DVD writer, Falun Gong books, and information materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

2. [Wuxue City, Hubei Province] Mr. Xia Mingliang Detained

Mr. Xia Mingliang was arrested on September 9, 2013. Police ransacked his home and confiscated two computers and a printer. Mr. Xia is being held at the Wuxue City Detention Center No. 1.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Bo Yufang Arrested

Ms. Bo Yufang, about 80 years old, was arrested by officers from the Huilongguan Police Station on the morning of September 17, 2013, while speaking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police confiscated her Falun Gong books.

4. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Du Lanmei and Ms. Liu Shuling Detained

Ms. Du Lanmei and Ms. Liu Shuling were arrested in the evening of September 19, 2013, while speaking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are being held in the Penghoujie Police Station. Police ransacked their homes.

5. [Xiajin County, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Yueshan and Mr. Zhang Shoujiang Detained

Mr. Zhang Yueshan and Mr. Zhang Shoujiang were arrested on August 22, 2013. They are being held at the Xiajin Detention Center. When Mr. Zhang Shoujiang went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution, he was force-fed.

6. [Zhongwei City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. You Haijun and Mr. Ding Qian Detained

Mr. You Haijun and Mr. Ding Qian were arrested at Mr. You's home by a dozen officers from the police departments of Zhongwei City and Zhongning County on the afternoon of September 15, 2013. Officers confiscated a computer, printer, Falun Gong books, and information materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Mr. You and Mr. Ding are being held at the Zhongning Detention Center.
