High Risk Pregnancy Has a Surprising Outcome
Ms. Zhang Mei lives in Linshui County, Sichuan Province. Her husband is an associate professor. She discovered that she was pregnant in June 2012. Because of the Chinese Communist Party's one child policy, her in-laws insisted that she have an abortion even though it was her first pregnancy. Ms. Zhang had a duodenal ulcer and had started medical treatment less than a month after she discovered the pregnancy. Her in-laws worried the treatment might affect the baby and wanted her to have an abortion. Zhang Mei wanted the baby very much, and disagreed with her in-laws.
Zhang Mei was upset with her in-laws' attitude, and, along morning sickness, her health deteriorated. When she was five months along, she developed a potassium deficiency. When she went to the hospital for a check up, her blood potassium level was only 1.9, far below the normal range of 3.5-5.5. Her weight was only 70 kilos. The medical director of the hospital stated: “Average people whose blood potassium drops to 2.0 will be bedridden and in a critical condition. The situation is dangerous for both baby and mother. We need to induce labor.” Her husband did not know what to do.
Zhang Mei's family came to the hospital, including her mother who practices Falun Dafa. She got her daughter to listen to Master's Fa lectures and repeated, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are good.” She told her daughter that as long as she believed in Master, and asked Him for help, she and the baby would be all right. Zhang Mei did what her mother asked her and she quickly recovered and gained weight. Her doctor was very surprised. Others in her condition would be bedridden and could not keep the baby. But Zhang Mei was walking around without any problem, and her baby was fine. But her in-laws were still worried.
In January 2013, Ms. Zhang went to hospital for another check-up. The physician said that she was ready to deliver the baby and told her family to go home to fetch baby clothes. Before they returned, she gave birth to a lovely baby boy without any problems. Even the doctor and nurses commented on how easily she had delivered her first baby. Her husband was so happy and deeply grateful that he said, “Thank you, Master Li Hongzhi! Thank you, Falun Dafa!”

I have a niece named Xiaofeng. She is 38 and has been married for over 12 years but was not able to have a child. When I visited her and her husband, I told them how wonderful Falun Dafa is and the facts about the persecution. They believed me. I asked them to repeat, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good," and said it would bring them blessings. I also gave her an amulet. She did what I asked, and whenever she had time, she would say “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
As soon as the new year holiday was over, she got pregnant. Her family was overjoyed and called me immediately. They wanted me to take her to the hospital for a check up. She was found to have both ovarian cysts and uterine fibroids, and they were very surprised that she was able to get pregnant in her condition.
She requested a caesarean section for her delivery, in order to take care of the ovarian cysts and uterine fibroids. On November 5, she went to the hospital, and her baby was born without complications. Her doctor looked carefully in her abdomen and found there was nothing wrong, No cysts or fibroids!
