Additional Persecution News from China – November 7, 2013 (16 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 3 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 18 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Ying Aiyun Arrested

Ms. Ying Aiyun was arrested at home on November 2, 2013.

2. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Chuanjie Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Wang Chuanjie was arrested by officers from the Linqu County 610 Office at the end of October 2013. He was sent to a brainwashing center.

3. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Jianbo Detained, His Parents Arrested

Mr. Li Jianbo and his parents were arrested by agents from the Rizhao City and Donggang District 610 Offices, as well as the Domestic Security Division, on October 29, 2013. The agents ransacked their home. Mr. Li's parents were released on November 5, 2013. Mr. Li is still held at the Rizhao Detention Center.

4. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xie Houmei Arrested

Ms. Xie Houmei was arrested on October 28, 2013. Police ransacked her home.

5. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Yi Qunren Detained

Mr. Yi Qunren was arrested at home by plainclothes police on the morning of November 1, 2013. They confiscated his computer, two printers, an MP3 player, and Falun Gong books. Mr. Yi is being held at the Anfuqiao Detention Center in Naxi District.

6. [Jiutai City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Guiying Arrested

Ms. Sun Guiying was arrested by officers from the Huanggu Police Station on October 28, 2013.

7. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yan Ying Imprisoned and Tortured

Mr. Yan Ying, 63, was sentenced to 12 years in prison in May 2009. He was then transferred from a forced labor camp to the Xingye Prison in Changchun City.

Due to torture in the prison, in June 2013 Mr. Yan developed thrombosis, incontinence, and could no longer speak clearly and take care of himself. Instead of being released for medical treatment, he was transferred to the Xinsheng Prison in Gongzhuling City. His family was not informed.

8. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Jia Zongli Arrested

Ms. Jia Zongli, her husband, and her son were arrested at home by the Aohan City and Chaoyang City police on November 4, 2013. They were taken to the Xinhua Police Department. After the interrogation, her husband and son were released, but Ms. Jia was transferred to the Aohan Police Department.

9. [Beijing] Mr. Li Xupeng Arrested, Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Li Xupeng was arrested on October 31, 2013. His whereabouts are unknown.

10. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Imprisoned

Ms. Shan Qinxia, Mr. Li Yong, and Mr. Li Yunfei were arrested and taken to the Zhengzhou No. 1 Prison on November 4, 2013.

11. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Lifang Imprisoned

Ms. Liu Lifang was arrested and taken to the Fushun City Prison on November 4, 2013.

12. [Jiuquan City, Gansu Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhou Shufang, Ms. He Niudui, and Ms. Liang Mengyue were arrested by officers from the Jiuquan City Police Department's Domestic Security Division, Suzhou Police Department, and Youtian Police Department on November 5, 2013. Police ransacked their homes. Ms. Liang was released that night. The whereabouts of Ms. Zhou and Ms. He are unknown.

13. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Xue Imprisoned and Tortured

Ms. Zhao Xue was arrested on November 15, 2010. She was held at the Dalian City Detention Center for several months and then sentenced to 5 years in prison by the She District Court.

Ms. Zhao is now incarcerated in the Liaoning Province Women's Prison. Due to torture, she is in a wheelchair and unable to take care of herself.

14. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Xie Chengcai and His Wife Arrested

Mr. Xie Chengcai and his wife were arrested at home by officers from the Xianggong Police Station on the afternoon of November 6, 2013. Their whereabouts are unknown.

15. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wang Xiaohui Arrested

Ms. Wang Xiaohui was arrested on November 3, 2013.

16. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Lanfeng Detained

Ms. Li Lanfeng, 44, was arrested at home on September 12, 2013. Police confiscated her Falun Gong books, DVDs and informational materials. She is being held at the Changchun City No. 3 Detention Center.
