Additional Persecution News from China – November 5, 2013 (21 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 11 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 36 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Hengyang, Hunan Province] Ms. Lei Yingqun's Younger Brother Died as a Result of the Persecution

Ms. Lei Yingqun's younger brother is not a Falun Gong practitioner. He was arrested twice by officers from the Hengyang Domestic Security Division. The police threatened him and asked him why his sister, Ms. Lei, went to Malaysia and what she did there. The officers shone a bright light in his eyes and didn't let him sleep. They also often made phone calls to harass and threaten him after he was released. Ms. Lei's brother passed away suddenly on September 28, 2013.

2. [Yancheng, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Pan Shaofang and Ms. Zhang Shufang Arrested

Ms. Pan Shaofang, 74, and Ms. Zhang Shufang, 69, were arrested by officers from the Yancheng 610 Office when they talked to people about Falun Gong in the afternoon on November 3, 2013.

3. [Qitaihe, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Guiqin Missing for 13 Years

Ms. Liu Guiqin is 54 years old this year. She was arrested twice between 1999 and 2000. She has been missing since 2000.

4. [Wulanhaote, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zuo Yafen Arrested

Ms. Zuo Yafen was arrested when she posted Falun Gong materials in a residential area on the night of November 3, 2013. Her home was also searched.

5. [Hegang, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Su Qinghe Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Mr. Su Qinghe was held in the Youth Forced Labor Camp, Inner Mongolia, for two and a half years. After the labor camp was closed, personnel from the Dongshan District 610 Office transferred him to a brainwashing center on October 29, 2013.

6. [Huaying, Sichuan Province] Mr. Deng Qixing Arrested

At the beginning of May 2013, Mr. Deng Qixing, who is in his 60s, was arrested by officers from the Lushi Police Station and the Huaying Domestic Security Division for talking to people about Falun Gong. He was taken to the Huaying Detention Center.

7. [Hengyang, Hunan Province] Four Falun Gong Practitioners Taken to a Brainwashing Center

The Hengyang 610 Office held a brainwashing session for practitioners on October 22, 2013. It was reported that Ms. Tan Jinyun, Ms. Zhou Jinmei, and Ms. Zhou Jinyu from Qidong County and Ms. Li Huimin from Laiyang City were taken there.

8. [Jinzhou, Liaoning Province] Ms. Qu Ajuan and Ms. Li Yanqiu Arrested

Ms. Qu Ajuan and Ms. Li Yanqiu work at the Nuerhe Cotton Mill in Jinzhou. They were arrested by officers from the Hongluoxian Police Station when they talked to people about Falun Gong in Hongluoxian Town, Huludao. They are being detained in the Huludao Detention Center.

12. [Ningcheng County, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Cong Liping Arrested

Ms. Cong Liping, 51, was arrested by officers from the Ningcheng Domestic Security Division on November 1, 2013. The police searched her home and confiscated a large amount of money, many materials about Falun Gong, and Dafa books. Her mother, who is in her 70s, was also arrested. The police extorted 10,000 yuan before Ms. Cong's mother was released. Ms. Cong is being held in the Ningcheng Detention Center.

13. [Kaifeng, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Yuxiu Persecuted

Ms. Wang Yuxiu was arrested in front of her home by officers from the Fanta Police Station, the Tubaigang Police Station, and the Yuwangtai District Court on the morning of July 2, 2013. She was taken to the Kaifeng Detention Center. The Yuwangtai District Court sentenced her to three and a half years in prison. Ms. Wang has been transferred to the Zhengzhou Prison.

14. [Harbin, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Taken to a Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Song Guiqin, Ms. Liu Fengxia, Ms. Wang Jiangling, and Mr. Zhu Hongwen were taken to a forced labor camp on October 30, 2013.

15. [Linyi, Shandong Province] Five Falun Gong Practitioners Taken to a Forced Labor Camp

Mr. Ni Zhonglong, Ms. Zhou Yingxiang, Mr. Du Jiarong, Mr. Gao Kunzhi, and Ms. Huang Lifang were taken to the First Forced Labor Camp on November 3, 2103.

Ms. Zhang Liyuan was arrested at home by officers from the Wulanhaote Domestic Security Division on the night of November 3, 2013.

Ms. Zhang was arrested in the middle of October 2013 for distributing information material about Falun Gong.

18. [Zhangshu, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Zeng Xiaotu Arrested

Policemen from Shangrao and Zhangshu cities in Jiangxi Province arrested Mr. Zeng Xiaotu on October 25, 2013, where he works, the Zhangshu Second Hospital. He was taken to the Hengfeng County Detention Center in Shangrao.

19. [Maoming, Guangdong Province] Fourteen Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested

Maoming police arrested 14 practitioners on November 2, 2013. Ms. Huilian, Ms. Suying, Ms. Ruifang, Ms. Li Jinxiu, Ms. Xiuzhen, Mr. Li Hanxin, Ms. Zhu Huirong, and Ms. Li Xueying were released the next day. Ms. Ling Xiu, Ms. Xuemei, Ms. Liang Qiuyuan, and Ms. Hua Zhen were taken to the Maoming Brainwashing Center. Ms. Cheng Shuiyu from Guanzhu Town, Dianbei, was transferred to Shuidong, Dianbei. Ms. Liang Guifang is held at the Maoming First Detention Center.
