Additional Persecution News from China – November 17, 2013 (11 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, one practitioner was subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 17 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Two Practitioners Arrested, One Detained

Mr. Han Xi'ao was followed and arrested by police on the afternoon of November 12, 2013. His computer, recorders, printer and other items were confiscated. He is being held at the Bayuquan Detention Center.

Mr. Chen Wenduo and Mr. Chen Wenhao were arrested by officers from the Bayuquan Domestic Security Division on the evening of November 14, 2013.

2. [Xingtang County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yang Huanping, her husband Mr. Zhang Shuanma, and her sister were arrested by officers from the Longzhou Police Station on November 15, 2013.

3. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yu Jinfeng Sent to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Yu Jinfeng was arrested on her way home by officers from the Hulin City No. 1 Police Station on September 29, 2013. She was taken to the Jixi City Brainwashing Center.

Ms. Yu was ordered to write the three statements to renounce her faith; she was threatened that she would be deprived of sleep and forced to stand in a corner if she refused. Ms. Yu was released on November 5, 2013.

4. [Tianjin] Ms. Liu Yuhua Arrested

Ms. Liu Yuhua was arrested by police on the afternoon of November 15, 2013, while distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

5. [Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Li Wei Imprisoned

Mr. Li Wei was arrested by officers from the local police department on November 14, 2013. He has been incarcerated in the Hangzhou City No. 1 Prison.

6. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lu Shuhuan and Ms. Zhang Guiying Detained

Ms. Lu Shuhuan and Ms. Zhang Guiying were arrested on November 15, 2013, while talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are being held at the Liaocheng City Detention Center.

7. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Yuhua Detained

Ms. Zhang Yuhua was arrested on the evening of October 1, 2013, while hanging up banners with the words “Falun Dafa is good.” She was transferred to the Beijing No. 1 Detention Center.

8. [Usu City, Xinjiang] Mr. Li Hongfu and His Wife Arrested

Mr. Li Hongfu and his wife were arrested at the end of October 2013.

9. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Ou Yangjian Arrested, Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Ou Yangjian was arrested on September 27, 2013. His whereabouts are unknown.

10. [Chenxi City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yu Xiuzhen Arrested

Ms. Yu Xiuzhen was arrested by a plainclothes officer from the Chenyang Police Station in November 2013, when she tried to speak to the officer about Falun Gong and the persecution. She was taken to the police station, but released later the same day.

11. [Xinyi City, Jiangsu Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Hong Yamei, Mr. You Miao, and Ms. Liu Hongya were arrested on November 15, 2013, while distributing copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and information about Falun Gong. They were taken to a detention center.
