Additional Persecution News from China – November 16, 2013 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 4 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 21 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Feng Xiaomei, Ms. Cheng Wenfen, Mr. Wang Xiaofeng, Ms. Meng Defen, Ms. Bai Caiping, and Ms. Qi Xiangcai were arrested in the early morning of November 15, 2013.

2. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Yanhua Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Liu Yanhua was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

3. [Qixia City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yi Xueming Imprisoned

Mr. Yi Xueming was sentenced to 7 years in prison in September 2013. He was taken to the Jinan Prison.

4. [Shanghai] Mr. Wang Chao Held in Police Custody

Mr. Wang Chao was arrested at home and is currently being held at the Xuhui District Longhua Police Station.

5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Liu Yufang and another practitioner (name unknown) were arrested by officers from the Shuanglong Town Police Station on November 13, 2013, while they spoke to people about Falun Gong and the persecution. Ms. Liu's home was ransacked by officers from the Gongzhuling Police Department and the Chuncheng Police Station the next day. Both practitioners are being held at the Gongzhuling Detention Center.

6. [Pingshan County, Hebei Province] Mr. An Sanqing Arrested

Mr. An Sanqing was arrested at home by officers from the Huishe Police Station, including director Liu Xinwei. Mr. An was taken to the Pingshan Police Department. Officers confiscated his computer, printer and other items.

Ms. Xu Guixia and Ms. Li Xilian were arrested on the afternoon of November 13, 2013.

8. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested, Two Hospitalized Due to Torture

Ms. Liu Yanping, Ms. Xie Houmei, and Ms. Liu were arrested on October 24, 2013. Ms. Liu Yangping and Ms. Liu were hospitalized after being tortured.

9. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Hongyan and Ms. Li Yan Detained

Ms. Wang Hongyan and Ms. Li Yan were arrested by officers from the Dongliang Police Station and the Fuxin County Police Department on the morning of November 14, 2013, while distributing calendars with information about Falun Gong. They are being held at the Xindi Detention Center.

10. [Shanghai] Ms. Liu Shujie Arrested

Ms. Liu Shujie was arrested by officers from the Shanghai Domestic Security Division on November 6, 2013.

11. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xie Xiaowen and Ms. Song Yanhui Detained

Ms. Xie Xiaowen and Ms. Song Yanhui were recently arrested in Dadi Town. They are being held at the Shenzhou City Detention Center.

12. [Qi County, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Kehua Detained

Ms. Wang Kehua, 60, was arrested at home by officers from the Gaocun Town Police Station on November 14, 2013. She is being held at a detention center.
