Additional Persecution News from China – October 13, 2013 (7 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in seven cities or counties in five provinces. In this report, one Falun Gong practitioner was subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least ten practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Wanquan County, Hebei Province] Ren Feng'e Arrested

Ms. Ren Feng'e from Wanquan County and her landlord were arrested on the street on October 11, 2013, by police officers from the Kongjiazhuang Town Police Station, Wanquan County. The landlord has returned home, but Ren Feng'e is held at the Shisanli Detention Center in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province.

2. [Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province] Yang Xiuling Arrested

Ms. Yang Xiuling from Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province was arrested on October 9, 2013, by police officers of the Domestic Security Division, Police Department in Zhenjiang District, Shaoguan City. She is detained at Huanggang Detention Center in a northern suburb of Shaoguan City.

3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Huang Zhaojin Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Huang Zhaojin is in his seventies and from Jianghan District, Wuhan City. He was arrested by officers from the Manchun Police Station in Jianghan District on September 29, 2013. He is now locked up in the Jianghan District Brainwashing Center.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Qu Shumei Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Qu Shumei was sentenced to six years in prison on September 27 by officials of the Ganjingzi Court.

5. [Tianjin City] Li Dongman Abducted

Mr. Li Dongman from Longju Garden, Dasi Town, Xiqing District, Tianjin City was arrested at home on the night of October 12, 2013. His home was ransacked as well.

6. [Yueyang County, Hunan Province] Dafa Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Wang Yuelai, Mr. Li Meihua, Ms. Jiang Xiyuan from Yueyang County were arrested by police officers of the Gengtian Township Police Station on the morning of October 11, 2013. Wang Yuelai and Li Meihua wore handcuffs and were interrogated. They also searched and ransacked Wang Yuelai's workplace, and confiscated the car he had borrowed. Jiang Xiyuan is held at the Yueyang County Detention Center. She started a hunger strike in order to resist the abuse. Details of the other practitioners are unknown.

7. [Beijing City] Shi Xinhong and Zhang Fengqin Arrested

Ms. Shi Xinhong was again arrested by the police of the Changping No. 1 Street on October 10, 2013. The same day, Ms. Zhang Fengqin was detained by officials of the Changping Nanhuanli Neighborhood Committee.
