(Minghui.org) The son of a practitioner reported to the police that his mother was missing, but the police never responded. Some time later, he found out that his mother had been illegally detained because she practices Falun Gong.
On the morning of her scheduled release, he went to the detention center to pick her up. When he arrived, he saw a car with several officers and his mother driving out of the center. He stopped the car and rescued his mother from further maltreatment, knowing how she had been incarcerated and tortured for her faith in the past.
He was arrested two days later and is currently facing a court hearing.
Practitioner's Son Arrested for Rescuing His Mother
Mr. Pan Deng, 30, from Wuhan City, Hubei Province, planned to get married on May 19, 2013. Nine days before his weeding, agents from the 610 Office in Qiaokou District arrested him. He was indicted by the Hanyang District Procuratorate. His case is being handled by the court in the same district.
Mr. Pan had moved back to Wuhan so that he could take care of his parents after he got married. In early May, his mother, Ms. Huang Haiying, went missing for several days. He reported it to the local police, but didn't get any response.
He later learned that his mother was detained in the No. 1 Detention Center of the Wuhan City Police Department and would not be released until May 8.
Mr. Pan knew that his mother was wrongfully detained because she practices Falun Gong. He had witnessed his mother becoming healthy and her temperament improving after she became a Falun Gong practitioner.
Prior to this detention, his mother had been arrested many times by the agents of the communist regime for her peaceful faith. She was also tortured.
Mr. Pan knew that his mother was innocent. On the morning of May 8, he went to the detention center to pick her up. A van with several people inside drove out as he was coming in. When he saw his mother in the van, he stopped the car and rescued her.
There were several plainclothes agents in the van. They were Xu Jinping, Cai Xiaobing, and Jiang Ran from the Domestic Security Division of the Qiaokou District Police Department, as well as Cao Jinbao and Li Shuangli from the Changshou Community. They were about to secretly transport his mother to a brainwashing center.
In the afternoon of May 10, two days after rescuing his mother, Mr. Pan was arrested by Chen Zhilong, Cai Xiaobing, and Jiang Ran from the Domestic Security Division. They took him to the Yuehuqiao Police Station in Hanyang District, detaining him there for 15 days.
Mr. Pan was then transferred to the Taojialing Detention Center in Hanyang District.
Chen Zhilong, Cai Xiaobing, Jiang Ran, Cao Jinbao and Li Shuangli filed a case against Mr. Pan. He was indicted by the Hanyang District Procuratorate on the charge of “disturbing social stability.” His case is now being handled by the district court.
After Ms. Huang Haiying was rescued by her son, she couldn't stay home and was forced to become homeless in order to avoid further persecution. Following Mr. Pan's arrest, his fiance became emotionally distressed because they could not get married. She has begged the authorities to release Mr. Pan. Instead, officials have repeatedly gone to her workplace to harass and threaten her, pressuring her to turn in Ms. Huang.
