Additional Persecution News from China – November 15, 2013 (16 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents about persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces. In this report, 13 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 15 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Tanghe County, Henan Province] Mr. Dang Changhua Arrested

Mr. Dang Changhua, in his 60s, from Tanghe County did not return home after he went out to talk to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on the morning of November 11, 2013. His family found out that afternoon that he had been arrested and taken to the Tanghe Industrial District Police Station.

2. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Xuerong Arrested

Mr. Li Xuerong from the Shengbei Community of Shengli Oilfield in Dongying City was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center by police officer Dong Ning on the afternoon of November 13, 2013.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Hongxia and Her Husband Arrested

Ms. Li Hongxia and her husband were arrested by officers from the Qiancheng Police Station of Yiqi Development Zone on November 12, 2013. Ms. Li was taken to the No. 2 Detention Center and her husband is being held in the No. 3 Detention Center.

4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Yufang and Ms. Lu Arrested

Ms. Liu Yufang and Ms. Lu were arrested by officers from the Xiangshui Police Station in Fanjiatun Town, Gongzhuling City on November 13, 2013.

5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Han Xiao Arrested

Mr. Han Xiao from Bayuquan District was arrested on the afternoon of November 12, 2013. His computer, disc-writer, printer, and other belongings were confiscated. Officers including Hui Huaiqi from the Bayuquan District Domestic Security Division detained Mrs. Han Xiao at her home the following morning, but she was later released. Mr. Han is still being held at the Bayuquan District Detention Center.

6. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Lianxiu and Ms. Yang Quanmei Arrested

Ms. Wang Liangxiu and Ms. Yang Quanmei were arrested by officers from the Xiazhuang Police Station.

7. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Li Weidong Arrested

Mr. Li Weidong from Huadu District was arrested by agents from the Huadu District 610 Office and the Neighborhood Committee on October 31, 2013. He was taken to a brainwashing center located in the Guangzhou City Law School.

8. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Hu Rimei Arrested

Ms. Hu Rimei from Changli County was arrested by officers from the Longjiadian Police Station for distributing calendars with information about Falun Gong at Beima Road, Longjiadian Town, Changli County on the afternoon of November 13, 2013. Officers from the Changli County Domestic Security Division took her to a detention center for a term of 10 days.

9. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Hongyan and Mr. Li Yan Arrested

Mr. Li Yan and Ms. Wang Hongyan were arrested by officers from the Dongliang Police Station of Fuxin City.

10. [Yuanqu County, Shanxi Province] Sentences of Ms. Ji Fenghua and Mr. Li Chenglong Sustained

The Yuncheng Intermediate Court upheld the original sentences of Ms. Ji Fenghua and Mr. Li Chenglong on November 12, 2013. Both were sentenced to 13 years in prison. Ms. Ji was sent to Yuci Women's Prison in Shanxi Province on November 15, 2013.

11. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Piyun Mistreated during Detention

Ms. Li Piyun, in her 60s, was arrested by agents from the Domestic Security Division of the Dongling District Police Department on June 6, 2013, when she was about to take a flight to Shanghai from Taoxian International Airport in Shenyang City. She was taken to the Dongling District Detention Center. Ms. Li has been on a protest hunger strike for many days and she is very weak right now.

12. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wu Guiqin and Four Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wu Guiqin, Mr. Ji Junrong, Mr. Gao Yumin, Mr. Jin Xing and Ms. Yang Xiufen from Fuxin City were arrested on November 6, 2013 by Officers from the Zhanggutai Town Police Station in Zhangwu County for handing out Shenyun Performing Arts DVDs and booklets describing the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to the Xindi Detention Centre in Fuxin City.

13. [Luoding City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Ailin Arrested

Ms. Chen Ailin was arrested on October 7, 2013 in Sulong Town while talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

14. [Liyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cao Chengying and Ms. Sun Sufeng Arrested

Ms. Cao Chengying and Ms. Sun Sufeng were arrested by officers from the Banquan Town Police Station and the Junan County Police Department on November 12, 2013 for explaining the facts about Falun Gong at a market in Banquan. Ms. Cao was held at the Hedong District Detention Center. She was later released due to high blood pressure.

15. [Hebi City, Henan Province] Mr. Cheng Jijun Arrested

Mr. Cheng Jijun was arrested by Zhang Mancang and others on the morning of November 13, 2013.

16. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jin Xiaorong Mistreated

Ms. Jin Xiaorong, 45 years old, was taken to the Wanyaoshu Detention Center on August 31, 2013. The guards strangled and beat her because she refused to follow their orders, in protest of her unlawful detention.
