Elderly Mother Distraught Over Daughter's Arrest

(Minghui.org) Officers from the Shenyang City Police Station and the Minglian Police Station arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Dongxu at work on the afternoon of November 11, 2013. When she didn't come home, her 80-plus-year-old mother went to the police station to find out what happened. She cried out in anguish after learning that her daughter had been illegally arrested.

Ms. Li's mother went to the Minglian Police Station again the next day. She ran into her daughter in the process of her being transferred to the detention center. It had only been 24 hours yet her daughter looked haggard. It appeared that she hadn't eaten or slept, and had been subjected to severe persecution.

Ms. Li's mother went every day for the next few days to the Minglian Police Station demanding her release. The officers shirked responsibility, stating that Ms. Li wasn't there and that the Huanggu Branch of the Domestic Security Division was responsible for her arrest. The elderly woman then went to the Huanggu Branch of the Domestic Security Division but the guard wouldn't let her in. He said that the detention center was handling the case. They kept Ms. Li's mother running back and forth without giving her any answers.

Genetic Disease Cured

Ms. Li's mother depends on her daughter for her livelihood and has no idea when she will return home. Falun Dafa had saved her daughter's life. Ms. Li had a genetic disease and a congenital defect. She had suffered from serious illness all her life. Her family had sought medical treatment for her everywhere but to no avail. Her older brother had the same genetic disease and died at a young age.

Ms. Li has always felt very fortunate to be able to practice Falun Dafa. Her incurable disease was cured, and she became healthy. Her character improved and she was happy. She became a good and kind person and wanted to help others.

Ms. Li's mother cannot understand why her kind-hearted daughter has been arrested, and she is grief stricken. She hopes that justice will be upheld and her daughter will be released.
