(Minghui.org) A business owner in Jilin City has been repeatedly persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for her faith in Falun Gong. She has been incarcerated in a forced labor camp and detained in a detention center and brainwashing centers. The police have repeatedly harassed her, broke down her doors, slashed her car tires, threatened her, confiscated her belongings, and ransacked her home.
Arrested, Interrogated, and Detained for Practicing Falun Gong
Ms. Liu Bing, a Falun Gong practitioner from Jilin City, was arrested by local police and taken to a brainwashing center on October 18, 2013. Because she refused to give up her belief, she was detained for 15 days.
Ms. Liu went to the duck-neck headquarters in Chaicao, Jilin City, to buy some goods. As soon as she entered the establishment, she was arrested by officers from the Jilin City Police Department, who had been waiting for her. She was taken to the second floor of the Huangqitun Police Station, in the Chuanying District, and interrogated.
Mother and Family Demand Her Release, But to No Avail
When Ms. Liu's mother found out that her daughter had been arrested, she rushed to the police station and demanded her release. An officer told her that her daughter had been transferred to another local precinct, so she and her family went to the Tongjiang Police Station in the Changyi District. Officers at that police station told them that they didn't know where she was. When they reached a deadlock over an hour later, one of the officers said, “Even if we knew where she was, we couldn't tell you, because we have orders from our superiors.”
Under No Circumstances Would She Give Up Her Belief
Since her arrest, Ms. Liu had been detained in the Fuliyuan Brainwashing Center in Xiaoguang Village. Jin Cheng, deputy director of the Tongjiang Police Station, and officers Yu Bowen and Fu Bingdeng had taken her there. While being detained, Ms. Liu refused to give up her faith in Falun Gong, and did not allow them to “reform” her.
Family Pressured to Sign Trumped up Charges
Jin Cheng, Yu Bowen, and Zu Jincai (officers from the Tongjiang Police Station) took her to the Jilin City Detention Center on October 30 to serve 15 days. Yu Bowen attempted to force Ms. Liu's family to sign a document that would charge her with “engaging in Falun Gong activities.” Her family refused to sign it and said that practicing Falun Gong does not break any laws. The family pointed out that the police officers themselves were persecuting practitioners, and breaking the law. Yu told them that they had orders from the Changyi Police Department, and that they were only executing the orders.
Arrested, Persecuted, and Harassed by the CCP
Ms. Liu was about to go to work on the morning of November 2, 2012, when she noticed three holes in two of her car tires. Several officers from the Tongjiang Police Station appeared and arrested her. Zhang Dong, the deputy director of that police station, along with others, broke into her home, ransacked it, and confiscated her Falun Gong books, computers, printers, and other personal belongings. She was taken to the police station and held for 15 days, because she had “disturbed the social order.”
Ms. Liu Bing, 48, has repeatedly been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for her faith in Falun Gong. She was sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp and detained in the Changchun and Jilin City Detention Centers, as well as in brainwashing centers. Officers from the Tongjiang Police Station constantly harassed her. They broke down her doors, slashed her car tires, threatened her, and ransacked her home twice, resulting in a financial loss of 100,000 yuan.
Because Ms. Liu became healthy after she began practicing Falun Gong, she went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice when the communist regime started to persecute it in 1999. There, she was arrested and taken to the Changchun Liaison Office in Beijing, and afterward escorted on the night train back to Changchun. She was taken to the Changchun City Detention Center the next day, where she was detained for 30 days.
Officer Xu Xinge tricked Ms. Liu into coming to the Tongjiang Police Station in March 2000. They took her to the Domestic Security Division of Jilin City Police Department, Changyi Branch, and arraigned her. During the arraignment, Captain Du Xingze handcuffed her to a bench for the entire night. She was then taken to a detention center and incarcerated for 15 days. She was subsequently transferred to the Changyi District Brainwashing Center, where she was held for over ten days.
In the summer of 2002, nine officers from the Jilin City Police Department and Changyi District 610 Office broke into Ms. Liu's home, ransacked it, arrested her, and took her to the Jilin City Detention Center, where she was detained for 30 days. She was sentenced to three years of forced labor. As a result, Ms. Liu had to close down her business. Her husband, who took all her property and ran away, divorced her. When she was held in the Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Changchun, she was tortured for four months and almost died.
When she was released, she had nothing left and went to live with her elderly mother.
