(Minghui.org) Today's news from mainland China includes persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 8 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 19 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Wang Chunlan Arrested

Ms. Wang Chunlan was arrested by officers from the Hongshan District Domestic Security Division on December 12, 2013. Her Falun Gong books and Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs were confiscated.

2. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yin Wanzhi and Ms. Yan Fenghua Sentenced

Mr. Yin Wanzhi and Ms. Yan Fenghua were sentenced to four years in prison by Xian District Court on December 3, 2013.

3. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Shuyan Detained

Ms. Wang Shuyan, in her 50s, was arrested at a local market by officers from the Xinnong Town Police Station on the morning of December 14, 2013, when she was distributing informational materials about Falun Gong and the persecution. She was taken to the Donggang City Domestic Security Division and is being held in Dandong City for 15 days.

4. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Sun Yafan and Ms. Wang Lijuan Arrested

Ms. Sun Yafan and Ms. Wang Lijuan were arrested by Fei Jingshan, director of the Zhiguo Police Station, on the morning of December 14, 2013.

5. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Yu Chuifan and her sister Ms. Yu Chuimei were arrested by officers from the Huadian City Domestic Security Division on the morning of December 6, 2013. Officers also arrested Ms. Hu Zongjing on the afternoon of December 13, 2013. They are being held in the Shahezi Brainwashing Center.

6. [Dachang County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Shuying, Ms. Yang Shufang, and Mr. Liu Jirong were arrested and taken to the Dachang County Detention Center on the afternoon of December 12, 2013.

7. [Beijing] Ms. Qi Xiufen Detained

Ms. Qi Xiufen was arrested by plainclothes officers on November 29, 2013, for posting information about Falun Gong and the persecution. Officers took her to the Shijingshan Detention Center. She was arrested again and taken to a brainwashing center on December 14, 2013.

8. [Qianan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wen Cuijuan and Ms. Wang Xiujuan Arrested

Ms. Wen Cuijuan and Ms. Wang Xiujuan were arrested by officers from the Qianan City Domestic Security Division on December 12, 2013, for distributing calendars with information about the persecution of Falun Gong. Their homes were ransacked.

9. [Miyi County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Luo Jiangping Hospitalized

Mr. Luo Jiangping has advanced stage cirrhosis of the liver due to the abuse he was subjected to while imprisoned in the Yunnan No. 1 Prison. He is being hospitalized in the Kunming City No. 1 Hospital.

10. [Chongqing] Ms. Gan Zhongbi's Whereabouts Unknown; Mr. Gu Jiaming Arrested

Officers from the Huangnibang Police Station broke into Ms. Gan Zhongbi's home on the morning of October 17, 2013, and confiscated all Falun Gong books, a computer, and a printer. Ms. Gan's whereabouts are unknown.

Mr. Gu Jiaming was arrested at home by officers on October 17, 2013. His computer, printer, and Falun Gong materials were confiscated. He was released that evening.

11. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Sun Hongbo Detained

Mr. Sun Hongbo was arrested by officers from the Changchun City Police Department. He is being held at the Changchun City No. 1 Detention Center.

Ms. Gu Changyu is being held in the Changchun City No. 1 Detention Center.

13. [Liangshan County, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Xu Yurong, Ms. Wei Hongxia, Ms. Zheng Chunrong, and Ms. Qi Anhua were arrested in Guanyi Town by local police officers on the morning of December 11, 2013, for talking to people about Falun Gong and the persecution. Their homes were ransacked. Ms. Qi was released that evening and the other three were taken to the County Detention Center.

14. [Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Three to Five Years in Prison

The Yuncheng Yuanqu Court tried and sentenced the following practitioners on December 5, 2013: Ms. Zhang Xiufang, 68, to five years in prison; Ms. An Xiaorun, 58, to four and a half years in prison; Ms. Wei Yinti, 65, to three and a half years in prison.
