(Minghui.org) Because I work out of town, my wife has shouldered all the responsibilities at home. And because I practice Falun Dafa, the authorities have often harassed her. She felt a lot of pressure and used to complain to me. At first I would get upset every time she complained. I realize now that it was to help me get rid of my attachments. I let go of my anger and kindly explained things to her whenever she complained.
There was a drought this year, but our harvest was bountiful, and all that we planted grew well. Compared to other farmers' produce, our watermelons are bigger and sweeter, and our ears of corn are large and bright yellow.
My 70-year-old mother is in good health and full of energy. She hears and sees well and can do all kinds of work. She helps my brother sell fruit and helps my wife with the household chores. She was surprised to see the corn we harvested. I told her it was because I practice Falun Dafa and that we should thank Master for the blessings we have!
My wife was happy to see the size of the corn and stopped complaining about me practicing Falun Dafa. She now thinks that people should believe and depend on Heaven and Earth. In the past, she got resentful whenever I played Dafa songs or Master's lectures on video. After she understood the truth, she likes the music and often asks me to play it. During the autumn harvest, our family listens to Dafa songs while working in the field.
My daughter has graduated from college and found a high paying job in the provincial capital. She is paying for my son's college tuition. My son has not graduated from college yet, but a business manager has already hired him. My son took temporary leave from school to work for him.
At present, the biggest problem in the rural area is finding a suitable mate for young adults. When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecuted me for practicing Falun Dafa, my wife used to nag, “It looks like the kids will remain single because you practice Falun Dafa.” Things have turned out quite differently. My son has a girlfriend in college. This young lady is from the city. She is a virtuous person and knows that Falun Dafa is good. She gets together with my son and daughter on Sundays, and they treat each other like siblings. Her family's income level is higher than ours, but she helps us with the farm work. Under the blessings of the Buddha light, my wife is very happy, and my family is doing well!
Master said, “...with one person practicing, the whole family benefits” ("Teaching the Fa at the Fa Conference in Australia") I will be more diligent and save more sentient beings to be worthy of Master's merciful salvation!
