People moved by the paintings at the exhibit
The principal of Pranakorn Rajabhat University and his students attended the opening ceremony on January 14 and viewed the exhibit. The collection included both traditional Western oil paintings and Chinese watercolor paintings. The paintings tell of the experiences and stories of those artists who practice Falun Gong. These artists share images of the sacred and wonderful experiences of practicing Falun Gong, as well as of the torture some of them have faced in China for persevering in their faith.
Many of the visitors to the exhibition were touched by the beauty manifested in the paintings. Some were shocked by the cruelty of the torture that Falun Gong practitioners have faced, and shared their thoughts and feelings in a guest book. Many praised the beauty of the paintings and the excellent accomplishments of the artists.
Falun Gong practitioners demonstrated the five exercises during the art exhibit, and some visitors joined in to learn.
Practitioners in Thailand have hosted the art exhibit a number of times to help the local people understand Falun Gong and raise awareness of the persecution in China. This art exhibit has been very popular in Thailand.
