(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 17 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 19 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Changyi City, Shandong Province] Many Practitioners Recently Arrested

Twelve practitioners in Shangtuan Village, Changyi City, were arrested and brought to the Beimeng Police Station by officers from the Changyi City 610 Office and the Beimeng Police Station on December 25, 2012. Those arrested included Mr. Guo Wenshan, Ms. Fan Xiufang, Ms. Zhou Qin, practitioner Yin, Ms. Zao Yumei, Mr. Yang Xianxiang, Ms. Guo Changlan, Ms. Zhang Meijin, Ms. Hao Lan, practitioner Guo, Ms. Chen Sufang, and Mr. Guo Lianjun. Several Falun Dafa books, exercise tapes, and an unknown amount of cash were confiscated. An officer hit Ms. Zhang in the chest after she shouted, “Falun Dafa is good!” Nine of them were released that evening. Ms. Chen, Ms. Zhang, and Mr. Guo Lianjun were taken to the Changyi Detention Center. Ms. Zhang and Ms. Chen held a hunger strike for five days and were released on January 3, 2013, after their families each paid 450 yuan. Mr. Kuo's situation remains unknown.

2. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Jiang Minxiang and Ms. Jiang Meizhen Missing for 13 years

Ms. Jiang Minxian and her sister, Ms. Jiang Meizhen, went to Beijing to speak up for Falun Dafa in 1999 and never returned.

3. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Fu Fengmei and Ms. Zhao Yujie Arrested

Ms. Fu Fengmei and Ms. Zhao Yujie were arrested on December 31, 2012, while talking to people about Falun Dafa in the downtown area. Ms. Zhao's home was ransacked. What was taken away is not known.

4. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Jinlian and Ms. Li Hongmei Arrested

Ms. Li Jinglian and Ms. Li Hongmei were arrested for giving away calendars containing Falun Dafa information in Caihe Town. Officers arrested Ms. Li Hongmei's husband, Mr. Zhang Zhenbang, and ransacked her home.

6. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Guan Yingrong Passed Away as a Result of Persecution

Mr. Guan Yingrong, a farmer in Wulajie Town, has been arrested three times—in 2000, 2001, and 2004. He was twice sentenced to forced labor, and was tortured by being tied up on a stretching bed, hung-up by his handcuffs, the death bed, etc. Some of his teeth were knocked out, and he became emaciated. He was constantly harassed after he was released from the forced labor camp. He died at home in October 2011 at the age of 55.

7. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Xu Ye and Mr. Zhao Chunyi Held in Sujiatun Detention Center

Mr. Xu Yeh, 25, and Mr. Zhao Chunyi, 42, from Chaoyang City were arrested for pasting stickers about Falun Dafa on October 26, 2012. They are being held in Sujiatun Detention Center.

8. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] 610 Office Agents Harass Elderly Parents of Mr. Li Jinxin

Bai Ning and about ten others from the Jinzhou City 610 Office broke into the home of Mr. Li Jinxin's aged parents (his mother is 88, and his father, who is paralyzed, is 92) on January 2, 2013. They forced the mother to lead them to the home of Ms. Li Jinling, the sister of Mr. Li Jinxin.

In April 2012, officers attempted to arrest Mr. Li Jinxin from his parents' home. Mr. Li had to leave his parents and has not returned since.

Mr. Sang Xueli, in his forties, and Mr. Zhang Yuying, 38, were arrested for distributing Falun Dafa materials in Jianglou Town by officers from the Jianglou Police Station on January 2, 2013.

10. [Biyang County, Henan Province] Ms. Sun Hengying Facing Illegal Trial

Ms. Sun Hengying was arrested by officers from the Biyang County Domestic Security Division and 610 Office on August 8, 2012. She is being held in the Biyang Detention Center and scheduled to be tried on January 8, 2013.

11. [Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Zhu Zuoxin and Mr. Cao Baoxian Sentenced

Mr. Zhu Zuoxin was arrested on May 26, 2012, and Mr. Cao Baoxian, on July 29, 2012, by officers from the Jindong District Domestic Security Division, Jinhua City. On September 28, 2012, the Jindong District Court sentenced Mr. Zhu to four and a half years in prison and Mr. Cao Baoxian to one and a half years in prison without notifying their families. Mr. Zhu filed an appeal. They are both being held in the Jinhua City Detention Center.

12. [Chenggu County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Huang Xiaoqin Held in Xi'an City Women's Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Huang Xiaoqin, 58, retired from Factory 307 in Chenggu County, was arrested by officers from the Chengguan Police Station for distributing Falun Dafa materials on July 26, 2012. Her home was ransacked by officers from the Chenggu County Domestic Security Division that evening. She is now being held in the Xi'an Women's Forced Labor Camp in Shaanxi Province.

13. [Urumqi City, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region] Mr. Liu Yuhua Arrested

More than ten officers from the Shayibak District 610 Office, led by the chief Wu Zhihong, broke into the home of Mr. Liu Yuhua and arrested him on November 5, 2012.

14. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Cui Hai and Mr. Yan Kejian Transferred to a Detention Center

Ms. Cui Hai and Mr.Yan Kejian were transferred from a brainwashing center to the Wuhan City First Detention Center (for women) and the Wuhan City Second Detention Center (for men) in late December 2012. With this transfer they are now detained illegally as criminals.

15. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Yang Yifan's Arrest Confirmed

Mr. Yang Yifan was forced to leave home for four and a half years to escape persecution. He had been missing since mid-October 2012. It has been confirmed that he was arrested.
