(Minghui.org) Mr. Hong Wenquan lives in Xiaoxin Village, Fangshan Town, Heishan County in Liaoning Province. He used to suffer from very severe heart disease and diabetes. He spent his entire savings on cures, but nothing helped and he fell into debt. In a state of despair, Mr. Hong obtained Falun Dafa. Soon after he started practicing Falun Gong, all his diseases disappeared. He gave thanks to Dafa from the bottom of his heart and told everyone he met that Falun Gong gave him his life back.
On July 20, 1999, Jiang Zemin's CCP regime began to publicly persecute Falun Gong. Due to this pressure, Mr. Hong gave up practicing Falun Gong and his health problems returned. He then was determined to take up the practice again. His diseases completely disappeared, and his family life also improved. With renewed energy, he built three bungalow apartments by himself. He thanked Master Li for Falun Gong from the bottom of his heart. He told other villagers about Falun Gong and its wonderful healing effects.
On October 8, 2011, Mr. Hong went to Badaohao Township in Heishan County to tell people there about Falun Gong. Someone reported him to the Badaohao police and he was arrested. Mr. Hong was detained in Heishan Detention Center.
Around 1 p.m. that day, the director of the Badaohao Police Station colluded with Wang Weijing, chief of the Domestic Security Division, and four other police officers to loot his home. They confiscated personal property and Dafa books. Wang Weijing returned a second time to ransack Mr. Hong's home.
This incident so frightened Mr. Hong's wife that her neurosis recurred. At this time, his daughter, Hong Xia, was recuperating at home from a critical illness. She was so terrified that her condition worsened.
Because his wife was unable to care for their daughter, Mr. Hong had been taking care of her before his arrest. After his arrest, they had to hire someone to care for their daughter.
His daughter's health deteriorated and she missed her father very much. His relatives demanded Mr. Hong's release, but their demands went unheeded. The Heishan Police Department and Procuratorate filed charges against Mr. Hong.
On December 12, 2011, Mr. Hong's daughter died at home. An hour before she passed away, she pleaded for her father. She didn't realize she would never see him again.
In March 2012, Mr. Hong was falsely charged by the Heishan Police Department. The Procuratorate convicted and sentenced Mr. Hong to three years in prison.
