The Luckiest Moment of My Life–Obtaining the Fa
I have been cultivating Falun Dafa for fourteen years. There were five or six people at our practice site initially, and later more people joined the practice. About two dozen people attended our practice site before the persecution. We worked at different places during the daytime, but we studied the Fa together in the evenings. We discussed our experiences after every reading of Zhuan Falun. We would look inwards to see whether our thoughts and actions were in line with truthfulness-compassion-forbearance. One day, a male practitioner said: "I stopped drinking and smoking, my wife and I got back together and we decided not to file for divorce." Another person said: "My neighbor cursed me today, but I did not reply. In the past I always argued with her. But today I told her: 'I was wrong before. Now I am a Falun Gong practitioner. I want to be a good person following Dafa. I need to consider others first, and look inwards when facing conflicts. Let's make up.' My neighbor stopped cursing and things are good now between us. "
“Study the Fa and gain the Fa,
Focus on how you study and cultivate,
Let each and every thing
be measured against the Fa.
Only then, with that,

Every day we get up at 4:00 a.m. to do group exercise. Our bodies have reached the state free of illness which is also beneficial to society, since we can do more to help others and don't need assistance. We are so lucky. However, the practice is a serious matter. After the persecution of Falun Dafa, several people quit practicing, several people took up other religions, several passed away and some teeter back and forth between practicing and not practicing. I have visited them multiple times, some start to practice seriously and do the three things, while others still can not give up human attachments.
Fellow practitioners who have gone astray, Master is waiting for you to awaken. Do you know? Time is running out. As long as the Fa rectification has not ended, you still have a chance. Hurry up to come back to cultivate.
Clarifying the Truth of Falun Dafa Everywhere I Go
After the persecution we lost our group study environment. I began to hand-copy the Fa. Master said:
"This is especially so when the general climate is one where everyone says Dafa is good, as everyone—from the upper classes of society to the common people—speaks highly of it. Some governments also say good things about it that are echoed by the public. Who are the sincere ones, then? Who are merely echoing others’ voices? Who sings its praises while actually undermining it? If we change the situation in human society and reverse the general climate, then let’s see who still says that Dafa is good and who changes his mind. This way, won’t everything suddenly become crystal clear?" (“Huge Exposure” in Essentials for Further Advancement)
I promised in front of Master's portrait: “Master, I will cultivate no matter whether others cultivate or not. Even if I am the only one left, I will continue cultivation to the end.” In fourteen years of cultivation I read Zhuan Falun and Master's other articles no matter how severe the persecution was. I filled myself with the Fa. No matter what I encountered, I was not afraid and I will remember the related Fa so I can handle things well. When I read Zhuan Falun, every sentence comes alive with Master's voice, like Master is giving the lecture in person.
One day an officer from CCP requested that we go to the town government in order to force us to watch videos which slandered Falun Gong. In the middle of the night we were called to come to the office of Brigade, and asked us our view of the staged "Tiananmen self-immolation." I said: “In lecture seven of Zhuan Falun say: 'The issue of killing is very sensitive. For practitioners, we have set the strict requirement that they cannot kill lives. Whether it is of the Buddha School, the Tao School, or the Qimen School, regardless of which school or practice it is, as long as it is an upright cultivation practice, it will consider this issue very absolute and prohibit killing—this is for sure.' Master also said in Lecture in Sydney 'committing suicide is sinful.' So 'self-immolation' could not be done by a true Falun Gong practitioner. You see so many Falun Gong practitioners here. Do we look like people who would set ourselves on fire?" After the DVD which disclosed the truth of the so-called “self-immolation,” I gave them the DVD and let them know the truth.
At that time I told every one who I met no matter whether I was in the field, at the edge of the field, in the street or in the market. If I could not find a person, I would go to his/her home to clarify the truth of Falun Gong to them. I clarified the truth of Falun Gong to the village party secretary and village director several times. It laid good foundations for them to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations in the future.
Village Party Secretary and Village Director Went from Being Involved in Persecution to Helping Practitioners
When Falun Gong was severely persecuted, the village party secretary and director, not knowing the truth of Falun Gong, participated in the persecution. Later they changed. They protected and rescued practitioners. They assisted family members in getting to the police branch station to get the practitioners back. They said: "We have seen that Falun Gong practitioners are the best people. They always to pay the agricultural tax head of time, and provide their best harvest to the government. They volunteer themselves to work on the dirty jobs no one wants to take. They do not seek extra payment when doing things. They just do good things for others, and do not do bad things. They do not violate the law. They just want to get their illnesses cured and to be fit. Let us take them back.” After the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party came out, they all read the book and quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
My Husband Recovered from Cerebral Thrombosis in Ten Days, Fellow Patients Called It a Miracle
At 3:00 a.m. one day in February this year, I was preparing to do the exercises. I received a phone call. It said my husband got cerebral thrombosis at work, and was taken to the hospital. We rushed to the hospital. After entering the room, I heard my husband say to the doctor: “I walked in myself. But after few hours of treatment, my arm and legs cannot move, and my hand cannot hold anything, and does not have any strength.” He showed it to me and said to me, “I want to hit them.” My husband was pointing to the doctor. The doctor was very embarrassed. I quickly said: "You got sick, how can you blame it on the doctor?" The doctor called me outside and said: “His blockage was really bad and his life is in danger.” I told my husband “Only Dafa can save you. From now on, do not think anything else. You chant 'Falun Dafa is good' sincerely.” He said “I believe it. I will start to chant now.” I stayed in hospital for three days and nights to help him. My son came to take over and give me a break. On the way back I clarified the truth of Falun Dafa to the people who went home with me on the same trip. They quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. I carry truth information material with me at all times and hand it to people who have not read it before.
When I got home, I burned incense to Master, and knelt down in front of Master's portrait. I said to Master “Master, I need to go out to save people every day. The old forces are not allowing me to do that and interfering with me. Master, you know better. If my husband has reached his life expectancy, please let him go. If this is not the case, please let him recover soon. I want to walk the way arranged by Master. Now time is precious. I need to use the time wisely to save more people. If I need to get rid of a certain attachment, I should correct myself while learning the Fa and saving people. Master takes care of me. The old forces should be eliminated, and they do not have any right to interference with me.”
During those days in the hospital I cleaned the restroom and the ward. I shared the food I bought with fellow patients in the ward. I fetched hot water for everyone. I gave my bed to the newcomer, and slept in the corridor. So I clarified the truth of Falun Gong to the people who slept in corridors and people who fetched water. I persuaded them to quit CCP and its affiliated organizations.
I left a good impression with fellow patients. One day several relatives and friends of the patient of the next bed came. His family member who stayed there said to the relatives “She is really a good person. I feel very comfortable to listen to her. These past few days, she helped a lot.” One of the relatives said “You look very healthy. You walk very light.” I said: “I was not like this before. I became healthy after practicing Falun Gong. Have you heard of Falun Gong?” They said they came from the mountain area. They had only seen the Party's vicious propaganda on TV. One young person was afraid, and brought up the Tiananmen self-immolation. I said, “It was all lies conducted by Jiang Zemin. The so-called “1400 death cases” is also a lie. Those lies on TV are fabricated in order to find an excuse to persecute Falun Gong.” One person said: “Everything on TV is fake except the time. I know this.”
My husband was afraid when I clarified the truth. I said: "If I did not practice Falun Gong, let alone to take care of you, I might have been long gone." My husband said: "All she said is true." The relative of a patient in the ward said: "You are healthy due to practicing Falun Gong. How come your husband who does not practice also recovers so fast? Before he came to this ward, my father had been hospitalized for one month. He is not getting any better. But your husband was much sicker than my father. How come he has recovered so much faster? He can walk a little bit in three days, and go to the restroom himself in five days, walk around freely in seven days. If I did not see it with my own eyes, I would not believe it! Please let me know how come he has recovered so fast? "
I replied, “He chants 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance is good.' This made him recover fast. Falun Dafa is the Buddha Fa. Master came to our human world to save people. He teaches us be a good person and to follow Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance. Master does not want a penny from you. Falun Dafa is a cultivation system, and helps practitioners to be unselfish people, and always consider others first. Falun Dafa practitioners are the best people in society. One person practices, the whole family benefits from it. My husband chants sincerely 'Falun Dafa is Good', and he is able to get the blessings from gods and Buddha. 'One thought from a person is known by Heaven and Earth.' While Falun Dafa practitioners are being persecuted, with this kind thought, gods and Buddha will protect this person. So he recovered very fast.” I further clarified the facts about the evil of the Communist Party and they all decided to quit the Party using their real names.
My husband was discharged from hospital after a total of ten days. He is completely fine now, and has gone back to work. I cannot use human language to express my gratitude to Master. All I can do is try to save more people to thank Master. On the day of discharging I gave everyone who I met a DVD with truth clarification material. I asked them to take it home to share it with their loved ones.
Looking inward, I realized that my attachment to my husband caused this tribulation. He supported my practicing, and protected Dafa too. Because the CCP often harassed me at home, I had left home for six years to avoid family members worrying about me. I said to my husband: "When the persecution ends, I will go home and take care of you." This is a huge human attachment! So many years of cultivation just for this? Had I forgotten my mission to come to this human world? I obtained the Fa, and I should take care of my family members. Haven't they also come here to obtain the Fa? Allowing them to obtain the Fa is my mission. Nothing is better for them than the Fa. How one behaves now decides his or her future position. I shouldn't be attached to them in this life. This thought has been seen by Master. Master must feel sad for me. I should get rid of this attachment. The old forces saw it, and they used this loophole to cause this trouble in the human world. After I found this attachment, my husband started to watch Shen Yun DVD, and came to understand the truth of Falun Gong. My daughter and her family quit CCP and its affiliated organizations. She read Zhuan Falun twice. They have started to obtain the Fa.
Saving the Young Man Who Hit Me with His Motorcycle
One day last winter I was on my way home after clarifying the truth outside. While crossing the street, a young man driving a motorcycle very fast hit my bicycle from behind. I fell on the side of the road with my bike. I had a thought at that time: “Master, I must save this person, please let him come back. He was driving too fast and could not stop right away. He sprang forward twenty or thirty meters before stopping. He came back and saw me sitting on the ground. There was a large hole in the arm of my jacket; my sweater and underclothing were worn through in places and my pants were ripped as well. The first thing he said was: "I am a student. I do not have any money." I said: "I practice Falun Gong. I won't ask a penny from you. Our Master asks us to be a good person following Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. We are to consider others first. Have you heard of Falun Gong?"
He said he had never heard of it since he was at school. I clarified the facts to him about the persecution and he agreed to quit the Communist Youth League and Young Pioneers. I gave him the book Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. He was pleased to accept it, and said: “I hit you, but you are so nice to me. I really feel sorry.” I said: “You quit the Communist Party. You are safe now. Share this book with your classmates, friends and relatives. Let them also be blessed. This is how you can show your gratitude.” He agreed. I said “You can go now.” He left with a guilty expression.
People around said I was stupid for not taking advantange of the situation to get compensation, since this is what normally happens. But I know I am here to save people and I know from the Fa teachings that if I had done something like that, I might have really been injured and needed hospitalization since I was hit very hard and am over 60 years old. Due to the power of the Fa and my righteous faith, I was fine.
Safe in the Face of Danger with Master's Protection
I go out every day to save people. Before that I burn incense to Master. I kneel down before Master's portrait: Master, please help me to save more people. Master, bring the predestined people in front of me, so I can save them. I have come to realize that we will be safe and things will go smoothly as long as we follow Master's teachings. One time, while I was waiting for a bus, several people decided to quit the Party. Everything went well. However my attachment to zealotry was stirred up. Once I got on the bus, I started to clarify the truth and handed out truth clarification material. There was a young man sitting before me. I started to clarify the basic truth to him. After I just finished talking, he said “I am going to call the police on you.” I was shocked, and thought why did I not send forth righteous thoughts before doing things? I realized that I should get rid of my zealotry. While thinking this, I said: “Falun Gong practitioners are all good people. You will receive retribution if you do that. It is not good for you or your children.” He then said: “No one picked up the phone. I was just joking.” I said: “You should accumulate virtue and protect Dafa practitioners. Please understand Falun Gong so that you will have a good future.”
Another time, While I was clarifying the truth, a man grabbed my bike and would not let me go. He used his other hand to call the police. His child on the ground was scared and cried loudly. He let me go. Master dissolved this tribulation.
In face-to-face truth clarification, you will encounter various people. This will help us to get rid of various attachments. Everything is caused by Dafa practitioner's attachments.
“It is exactly because you have all sorts of human attachments, as well as problems cooperating, that it is able to exploit your gaps, prevent you from succeeding at what you’re supposed to do, and weaken your power as you go about saving sentient beings. The evil has no other means at its disposal. When bad people in this world appear to be evil, and might act so ferociously, that’s because there are evil entities behind them propping them up. Eliminate those evil entities and that person wouldn’t be able to muster that ferocity anymore.” (“20th Anniversary Fa Teaching”)
When Master decided to save the universe, we knelt down before Master to sign the pledge to follow Master to the human world. Life after life of reincarnation we have been waiting for Dafa. We need to assist Master's Fa rectification against the persecution and save sentient beings. Master wants us to do the three things which are on the pledge we signed. If we do not do well, or do not do it, how could we be worthy of Master's painstaking salvation? We need to treasure the valuable time we have for which Master paid a heavy price to save more people. Then, finally we can go home with Master.
