(Minghui.org) Siping Prison, also known as Shilingzi Prison, in Jilin Province set up an “education ward” in 2005. Guards there have brutally tortured practitioners ever since. Practitioners are locked in small cells, shocked with electric batons, and forced to do slave labor. Some of the cases of the mistreatment follow.
Shocking with Electric Batons
Guards Li Cheng shocked practitioner Mr. Shi Guoliang using electric batons, and inmate Zheng Wei poured cold water on him in mid-May 2012.

Guard Li Jun handcuffed Mr. Shi on the morning of July 6, 2012, and inmates Yan Dequan and Zhen Wei held him down and stepped on him. Guard Li Cheng shocked him on his neck and back with an electric baton. Zhou Jijia, the ward head, was supervising. Mr. Shi bit his tongue because of the pain and injured it. Instead of sending him to the hospital, Zheng Wei beat him again at around 11:00 a.m. Mr. Shi was later sent to the prison hospital where he got nine stitches and stayed for about two weeks.

Guards Wang Hexun, Li Cheng, Liu Zhaohui, and inmate Sun Gang shocked practitioner Mr. Wu Xinning using electric batons in mid-May 2012. Zhou Jijia, the ward head, sat and watched.
Inmate Han Jingjun struck the back of practitioner Mr. Gao Weixi using a rubber/polymer V-belt right after he was imprisoned. Mr. Gao fainted several times. Practitioners Mr. Meng Fankui, Mr. Sui Yanzhang, and Mr. Lu Xianfeng suffered similar abuse.
Inmate Sun Gang beat practitioner Mr. Xu Peng until his face changed color and became swollen right after he was imprisoned.
Mr. Dong Fengshan was a practitioner from Songyuan, Jilin Province. He was beaten to death by inmates who were following orders from guards Li Haifeng and Hao Yulin. A hole was seen in the right side of his chest. The inmates had hit him with a shovel handle.
Practitioner Mr. Song Jincai was in his 70s. Guards Wang Hexun and Li Cheng and inmate Sun Gang stripped off his clothes and beat and kicked him for more than two hours. As a result, he experienced urinary incontinence. Nonetheless they restricted his restroom use. Wang said, “If you die from being beaten, we will call it a natural death. We have a death quota and won't be held responsible.”

Mr. Zhao Lianli is a Falun Gong practitioner from Liaoyuan, Jilin Province. He developed a mental disorder due to the torture and drug injections in Siping Prison. Inmate Yuan Youzhi grabbed Mr. Zhao's neck and nose one night, and put his penis into Mr. Zhao's mouth. When Mr. Zhou reported it, the guards simply ignored it.

Slave Labor
The prisoners were forced to do slave labor and were beaten if they did not finish the quota. Practitioners Mr. Jia Jinghe, Mr. Liu Xiaoyong, Mr. Shi Guoliang, Mr. Xu Hongwei, and Mr. Peng Shikun (who later died from the abuse) developed fluid in their lungs as a result of being overworked.
Practitioners Not Allowed to Talk to Each Other
The practitioners were not allowed to talk or pass items to each other. One one occasion, Mr. Xu Hongjun gave practitioner Mr. Song Jincai some dried tofu. Inmates Zhu Jun, Zhang Hongxi, and Yan Dequan then pushed Mr. Song down. Inmates monitored practitioners around the clock, even in the restroom.
Guard Zhou Jijia and inmates Zhu Yonghua and Yan Dequan shocked Mr. Wu Xinning using electric batons because he refused to sing during the marching.
Guard Wang Hexun brutally beat Mr. Liu Xiaoyong and Mr. Wu Xinning because they refused to to recite the “behavior standards.”
Mr. Zhou Ji'an had difficulty breathing and using his hands as a result of being beaten by inmate Yan Dequan.
