(Minghui.org) A brainwashing session was conducted between October 13 and November 8, 2011, in Macheng City Detention Center. The following regime organizations were involved: Macheng City Party committee, the municipal political and legal affairs committee, the municipal 610 Office, and the police department's Domestic Security Division. Eight practitioners were illegally arrested, sent to the detention center, and subjected to forced brainwashing.
They were: Tao Lakui, Liu Jiqing, Wu Shuangxi, Ms. Liang Fengmei, Ms. Liu Nianhua, Mr. Zhu Changkui, Ms. Peng Weixiang, and Wu Xiaolan.
Due to the abuse, Mr. Zhu Changkui's condition deteriorated. He never recovered and died at the end of 2012. Tao Lakui, Liu Jiqing, and Wu Shangxi were later transferred to Banqiao Brainwashing Center.
It was learned that 610 Office officials went through a lot of effort preparing and setting up this brainwashing center. Dong Jiapeng, the 610 Office deputy, spent six months visiting provincial brainwashing centers, forced labor camps, and prisons to “study” and “research” their experiences in brainwashing Falun Gong practitioners. They did their best to copy them, sparing no expense.
They held many secret meetings and required government officials to cooperate with this “political task.” They threatened those who refused to go against their conscience and told them that they would lose their positions. Under such intense pressure, many officials handed over information about local practitioners and also provided manpower and funds.
The main organizers of this brainwashing center were 610 Office deputy Deng Jiapeng; Hu Kaiwen, head of the Domestic Security Division; and Xue Ping, head of the detention center. Ten “education assistants” were sent over by their work units or their residential communities.
At first, deceived by the CCP propaganda and lies, these assistants were very hateful towards Falun Gong practitioners. They didn't allow the practitioners to do the exercises or talk to each other. They refused to listen to the practitioners when they clarified the truth.
However, they soon began to think for themselves and realized that the regime was wrong and practicing Falun Gong was right. The practitioners' great compassion and forbearance awakened their consciences. They witnessed the following in the brainwashing center:
– Practitioners were starved
– Practitioners were severely beaten
– Practitioners were placed in solitary confinement
– Practitioners' personal belongings were stolen
Starved
Mr. Zhu Changkui from a construction company in Macheng City had difficulty even taking care of himself because he had not strength in his hands. Despite his weak condition, he was still arrested and sent to the brainwashing center. Since he was unable to feed himself, he was often hungry.
Practitioners were separated from each other, so other practitioners were not able to help him. His situation was reported to the authorities but was ignored. When fellow practitioners tried to visit him, they were turned away. Mr. Zhu finally became very emaciated because he was unable to feed himself and he was on the brink of death.
Concerned that he would die, his family bowed to pressure and wrote the three statements. Several guards held Mr. Zhu's hand to press his fingerprint on the statements.
Beaten
Ms. Peng Weixiang, a farmer, remained steadfast in her belief in Falun Gong and was brutally beaten. She was kicked to the ground, beaten and verbally abused. Her clothes and pants were torn off.
When other practitioners tried to stop them, Dong Jiapeng ordered two thugs to beat them. One practitioner, a nurse named Ms. Liu Nianhua, told Dong Jiapeng that he was committing a crime. Dong was so infuriated that he viciously beat Ms. Liu.
Ms. Liu's face was swollen, her mouth kept bleeding, and her teeth were loosened. Her head ached and she was dizzy.
Even the education assistants who witnessed the brutal assault were shaken and afraid. Later most of them came to a sudden realization after seeing firsthand the mighty compassion of Falun Gong practitioners and Dong Jiapeng's irrational behavior. They started to protect the practitioners behind the scenes and no longer cooperated with the authorities.
Solitary Confinement
Ms. Liang Fengmei from Nanhu is friendly and outgoing with a ready laugh. Because she sang a Dafa song and spoke a few words to the inmates, Dong Jiapeng instigated the thugs to beat her and put her in solitary confinement for a long time. She was not allowed to see anyone and was not even allowed to walk in the courtyard.
Personal Belongings Stolen
Practitioners' personal belongings were taken away in the center, including 48,800 yuan in bank books, 2000 yuan collected through extortion, photos of Falun Dafa founder, Dafa books, eight MP3/MP4 players, four desktop PCs, two laptops, two printers, two CD/DVD recorders, one DVD player, five cell phones, and one motorcycle worth more than 30,000 yuan.
The Party committee funded this brainwashing session, which cost about 20,000 to 30,000 yuan per person. Goods taken from practitioners was valued at around 200,000 to 300,000 yuan.
Motivated by financial interests, the perpetrators ignored their conscience and became actively involved in the persecution.
Evil Deeds Are Punished
Good is rewarded with good; evil meets evil. These officials and thugs may gain trivial things in the present, but in the future they will face karmic retribution.
Li Jingliang, head of Xiban Village Party Committee, cooperated with the 610 Office in October 2011 to arrest several practitioners including Liu Jiqing and Wu Shuangxi. He also robbed Wu Shuangxi of 6900 yuan in cash, one motorcycle, one laptop, and Dafa books. In 2012, Li Jingliang ordered huge banners in the main roads and huge propaganda bulletin boards in the main entrances of the residential communities to slander Falun Gong. He also gave orders to install surveillance cameras above the bulletin boards.
In July 2012, Li Jingliang was reported to the police, accused of corruption and earning huge profits through organized gambling rings. He lost his position, was sent to a detention center, and had to pay a huge fine.
Many CCP officials in Macheng City have been involved in brutally persecuting practitioners since 1999. Several practitioners, including Li Xuechun, He Xingzhong and Li Jiju, lost their lives. Others, including Yao Xiaoan and Lu Liteng, were illegally sentenced to 10 years in jail. Over 100 practitioners suffered detention, forced labor, and brainwashing. What has happened to those officials responsible for these acts of persecution?
– Former mayor Zhang Jiaguo became brain dead after being injured in an accident and died in 2008.
– Former CCP director Wan Taoyuan died suddenly.
– Former CCP director Deng Xinsheng was sentenced and imprisoned.
– The former deputy director of the law inspection committee was struck and killed by a car while walking.
– Luo Xuejian, head of the political and security section of the police department, died while visiting prostitutes.
– Peng Honghui, head of the Yanhe Police Station, died of alcohol poisoning.
– Deng Zusheng, deputy of No.1 Institute, died in a car accident.
– Two directors in Huanggang City 610 Office, Zhang Shiming and Wang Kewu, died.
We sincerely hope that the deaths of these people sounds a warning bell to their followers. We hope they wake up and are no longer deceived by the evil CCP and act to end the persecution of Falun Gong.
