(Minghui.org) At around 7:00 a.m. on September 20, 2011, seven or eight policemen followed Mr. Wang Jinyu. They claimed to work for the Acheng National Security Team. They arrested him at his garage and ransacked his home. They confiscated his laptop, cell phone, kindle, and 740 yuan in cash. His wife divorced him because she could no longer endure the tremendous pressure and fear. His mother-in-law, who was 83, was devastated when she learned that he had been arrested. Saddened and frightened, she passed away soon afterward. His older sister, who was 71, also passed away after being devastated by the news. The persecution had shattered another family.
Ten months after Mr. Wang was taken to the Acheng Detention Center, he was transferred to Hulan Prison and was even more brutally tortured. In an attempt to force him to give up his belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, director Zou Dayong threatened him by saying he would be "so miserable that he would beg to die." He forced Wang Jinyu underneath a bed, which was only 50 cm off the ground. He had to sit there with his legs double crossed and his head bent down touching his legs. He was forced to stay in that position for more than five hours. The guards incited inmates Guang Lijun, Gao Jianping, and Yu to beat him in the washroom. They punched him in the head, back, and stomach. Consequently, his back was severely swollen and his ears secreted pus. He could not talk for three or four days. That same night, they forced him to stand until 1:00 a.m. During the following three months, he was forced to get up at 4:00 a.m. every morning and stand straight until 11:00 p.m. Living in this hell, Mr. Wang, who had previously been very strong and courageous, thought about committing suicide to end this brutal torture.
Six inmates had to share one bed, which was 1.8 meters wide and 1.5 meters long. It was extremely crowded. They also had to share the same damp and moldy blanket. Lice were crawling everywhere. In this horrendous living environment, Wang Jinyu developed scabies. In the middle of October 2012, he was transferred to Daqing Prison, where the torture continued.
