(Minghui.org) May 13, 2013, marks the 14th anniversary of World Falun Dafa Day and the 21st anniversary of the introduction of Falun Dafa to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa. On this occasion, Mr. Bucky Johnson, Mayor of the City of Norcross, proclaimed May 13, 2013 as World Falun Dafa Day in Norcross, Georgia.

Recognizing May 13, 2013 as World Falun Dafa Day in Norcross
Whereas: Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, is an ancient practice rooted in traditional culture that improves health, purify minds, uplift spirits and reach a state of harmony in their lives, leading people to a happier and more meaningful life; and
Whereas: Falun Dafa is based on the principles of Zhen-Shan-Ren (truth, compassion and forbearance), the virtue of the universe; and,
Whereas: Falun Dafa’s highest goal, is to bring people to wisdom and enlightenment by applying the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance in every aspect; and,
Whereas: Falun Gong practitioners across the nation participate in this ancient Chinese practice to promote the health and wellbeing of people from all social backgrounds, races and religions.
NOWTHEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED that May 13, 2013 shall be known in the City as:
World Falun Dafa Day in Norcross
and urge all of our citizens of this community to observe and take part in activities recognizing the importance of health, wellness, and the strength of the human spirit.
