(Minghui.org) Ms. Liu Jingping is a Falun Gong practitioner currently incarcerated in Guijiacun Prison in Lanjia Township, Changchun City. She is near death as a result of torture, but the prison refuses to release her. Her family warned the prison authorities that they would investigate holding the prison responsible if she died.
Jaw and arm dislocated for shouting “Falun Dafa is good!”
Ms. Liu used to live in Yuejiajie Village in Siping City. On September 28, 2012, she was arrested in Lishu Township, Lishu County, by police from Siping, the Lishu County 610 Office, and the Domestic Security Division. She was held in the Siping Detention Center. On her way to the detention center, she raised her hands and shouted “Falun Dafa is good!” The police beat her and dislocated her jaw. Then they twisted her arm until they dislocated it. She was not taken for treatment until she was admitted to the detention station.
On December 10, 2012, Liu Jingping was sentenced to four years in prison and taken to Guojiacun Prison. She was tortured so severely that she could neither walk nor eat. She even had difficulty speaking. When her family went to see her for the first time, four or five people had to hold her up. The prison later refused to let her family see her multiple times.
Her family vows to hold the prison accountable
On April 17, 2013, Guojiacun Prison called the family, claiming that Ms. Liu was dying from an illness and needed to have an operation. They attempted to force the family to sign the permission for surgery. Her family refused. The police pointed at the document and threatened, "If you refuse to sign it, you will be held responsible if she dies.”
Her family was very angry. They denounced the prison, saying, "Liu Jingping was very healthy when she was first admitted. Five months later, she now needs surgery because of 'illness?' You just don't want to be held accountable for the way you have treated her. It is ridiculous! You want to avoid legal repercussions and condemnation by the international media. Evil will receive retribution. That is the law of the universe. There are the procuratorate and international laws above you! If Liu Jingping indeed dies, you will not escape. We will track you down and bring you to justice!”
Previously arrested and beaten
Liu Jingping had visited Beijing twice to appeal for Falun Dafa. Because she refused to give her name when she was apprehended, the Beijing police brutally beat her. She sustained a three-inch cut on her head that took seven or eight stitches to close. Several of her teeth were knocked out. Two or three stitches were needed to close a cut on her palm. On sensitive days she was followed and monitored by the police from the 610 Office or the Domestic Security Division. She was sentenced to forced labor twice and held in detention centers three times. She was arrested and interrogated multiple times.
Ms. Liu Jingping is now near death, but the prison still refuses to release her. We hope the international community helps to rescue her.
