(Minghui.org) World Falun Dafa Day was May 13, and Dafa practitioners from all around the world celebrated this special day.
Practitioners in Chiayi, Taiwan wished Master Li Hongzhi a Happy Birthday and celebrated World Falun Dafa day at the Alishan Train station on May 11, 2013. They sang “Falun Dafa is Good” along with other songs written by Dafa practitioners, and demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises. Young practitioners from the Minghui School played waist drums to show the tourists a sense of harmony. Taiwan Falun Gong practitioners expressed their hope that tourists from China would see the goodness of Falun Dafa. When an officer from the Alishan Police Station saw the activities, he said to the practitioners, “Falun Gong cultivates 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance'. Your event is very good.”

Falun Gong practitioners tell tourists from China the truth about the persecution
About two hundred practitioners joined the celebration and truth clarifying efforts for tourists at the Alishan Station. Mr. Chou, almost 60 years old, looks like a young man. He brought his children and grandchildren to the celebration. He said cheerfully:
“Practicing Falun Gong improved my health, but more importantly, my xinxing has been elevated. I used to think about my own interests first, but now I put others first. I used be rude. Since I have been cultivating, I no longer act irritable. I also introduced Falun Gong to my son and daughter-in-law. My entire family cultivates now and we live in harmony. We came here today to participate in the World Falun Dafa Day activities, even though it is cold, we feel very happy inside.”
Mr. Chung Yichung joined the activities with his wife and son. He helped build the Fa Boat for the Taiwan Lantern Festival. Mr. Chung said that after practicing Falun Gong, his family no longer argues over the little things, and lives in harmony. He said, “When I do business, I come in contact with a lot of people. I was under a lot of pressure. I tried swimming but that didn't help. After I started cultivating, I no longer felt any pressure.”
Ms. Lai Huangchen teaches young practitioners at the Minghui School. Her students played waist drums at the event. Ms. Lai believes that when small children play the waist drums their spirits are uplifted. She not only came here to validate Dafa, but to let people see the health benefits from practicing Falun Gong. She said:
“The Minghui School's curriculum includes Fa study, Falun Gong exercises, and learning to play the waist drums. The cultivation of one's moral character is the focus of what is taught at the school, and the students learn to be good people before they learn to read. Someone might ask, 'Can children that young study the Fa?' Yes, they can. Adult practitioners lead the young practitioners. Young children rely on their ears to learn. Preschool age children are able to recite more than three poems from Hong Yin. By the time they go to elementary school, they can recite the Fa. Their memories become very well developed. In addition, after learning the Fa, children know that they need to be responsible for themselves. They all do very well in regular school.”
The Alishan Station is often covered by fog, and that day it started to rain. Standing in the rain, practitioners held banners for tourists from China to see. The banners read, “The Truth of CCP's Organ Harvesting,” “Self-immolation at Tiananmen Square, Staged,” “Spanish Court Presses Charges Against Top Chinese Government Officials for Torture and Genocide,” “Falun Gong Practitioners Who Believe in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Die from the Persecution,” and “Chinese Top Officials Openly Quit the CCP,” etc.
One practitioner felt that the general public had an understanding of Falun Gong, “Some of the tour guides used to steer the tourists away from looking at the banners, but their attitudes have changed. They now encourage tourists to look at the banners. At this critical time, they have chosen righteousness.”
For 21 years Falun Gong practitioners have displayed truthfulness and compassion to the world. Their peaceful and unyielding attitudes have been steadfast, even after the Chinese government started to persecute Falun Gong in 1999. One practitioner said, “We have benefitted from practicing Falun Gong. We are healthy, and our moral character has improved. We have happy families and we are better at our jobs. We thank Master for giving us Dafa. On World Falun Dafa Day, we clarify the truth at the Alishan Station, hoping that tourists from China will learn that Falun Dafa is good. We also hope they read more about Falun Gong and bring the goodness of Dafa to China.”
