(Minghui.org) I am a career military officer who works in the educational field. One day in mid-June 2011, my wife suddenly felt lethargic and fatigued. Many dark spots appeared on her body and she felt two lumps in her breasts. We took a relative's advice and took her to a local hospital for an examination. She was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was such a shock that we didn't completely trust the results. We had her examined at a few other hospitals, yet she ended up with the same diagnosis. We then decided to have surgery. However, the surgery could not be performed right away because the inflammation couldn't be reduced. Days passed, and her condition was still bad and the lumps were getting bigger and bigger. The medical experts at the hospital suggested that she have the surgery as soon as possible since it could become very serious if the malignant tumor continued to develop.
My wife was already in her surgical gown and the doctors were about to perform the surgery, when the telephone rang. The doctors were notified to stop the surgery immediately due to a newly discovered problem with her blood. After re-examining her, a report was issued that my wife was diagnosed with leukemia as well as breast cancer.
The family was astonished. In the hopes that it was all a mistake, we went to a big hospital in the provincial capital. A friend who worked at that hospital accompanied us through many tests and examinations. The results came out to be the same, malignant leukemia with complications of breast cancer.
Our friend recommended a well known cancer hospital and it just so happened, one of the directors at that hospital was a distant relative. He immediately organized an expert consultation and a treatment plan was created for my wife. She was treated with chemotherapy in early July. My wife was covered with dark spots at the time and had to stay in bed all day. She spent most of the days sleeping and didn't eat much.
After three rounds of treatments, almost all of her hair and even her eyebrows fell out. She needed help going to the bathroom, and she had a sallow complexion and was so emaciated that she was almost scary looking. All of our family members cried together, and our daughter and six-year-old son insisted on going to the hospital to see their mom.
By that time, we had already spent more than 100,000 yuan on my wife's treatments. We also spent thousands and thousands of yuan on gifts to treat people to dinner, etc., which are essential expenses in this corrupt society to get anything done. I was left penniless and deeply in debt.
Our relatives went to temples to pray to the deities, visited many fortune tellers, and even found a famous local warlock. The results were the same—it seemed as though we were bound to lose money and my wife. Finally, the relative who was the hospital director told us the truth and suggested that we give up. There had not been one case in the world of the same diseases being successfully healed. The treatment was basically pointless. Hearing this, the entire family was in despair. God! What should we do?
Right when all hope was lost, a distant relative called out of the blue. After learning of our situation, he told us to immediately start reciting to my wife, “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good! Mr. Li, please save me.” As a military man, I had been influenced by atheism since a young age, and didn't believe in gods and Buddhas at all. Also, I had been brainwashed by the lies and stories fabricated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), especially as it concerns Falun Gong. It was even worse in the military, as military men like me were deceived by the CCP and foolishly regarded Falun Gong as the enemy. Yet facing a nearly broken family, hearing the cries of our two young children, and seeing family members' teary eyes, I gave my word: “If Falun Gong can heal my wife's illnesses and save our family, my entire family will kowtow to Falun Gong.”
In a daze, my wife listened to Mr. Li's Fa lectures taught in Jinan City. About ten days later, I suddenly heard my wife calling for me one night. I was startled. She said, “It's okay, I had a dream and it was very vivid and real. I dreamed that there were many dark animal-like things falling out of my clothes. Some were long, some round, some flat, some big, and some were small, and they were squirming. I was so scared that I woke up. My body now feels very light and I even feel a little hungry.” I said delightedly, “I will fix you something to eat right away.”
One of my teachers was a political leader at a governmental agency who practiced Falun Gong. I asked him what happened and he said cheerfully, “Congratulations! Mr. Li has purified her body. In fact, he has eliminated all her illnesses, and she will be well soon. It would be even more effective if she would start to do the exercises. Our Master came to save sentient beings and he came to offer salvation to people and save people from all suffering and hardship. As long as you know the truth about Falun Gong and know that it is good, a bright future and a happy family will be yours, and humankind’s great catastrophes will be far away from you.” He also told me many things that I had never heard of before, of the inherent evilness of the CCP and that the communist party is Marx' evil cult, and that quitting the communist party and its affiliated organizations is to get rid of the mark of the beast. He also told me that the heavens will destroy the CCP and whoever doesn't quit the party will go down with it. He said that quitting the communist party and its affiliated organizations is to save one's life. Even though I didn't understand all of what he said, I believed that he was telling the truth.
Just like that, my wife completely recovered in a month. When we went back to the hospital for a re-examination, the tests came out normal. Our relative who was the director and my wife's attending physician were astonished and speechless. The relative mumbled, “What is happening? It is impossible that we misdiagnosed this case.” Someone also said, “Strange, inconceivable, unimaginable.”
After listening to Mr. Li's lectures for just a month, my wife, who was on the verge of death, was given a second life. All of a sudden, our nearly broken family was all right again and as happy as before. After experiencing such extreme sadness and happiness, my outlook on life has changed completely. It was such an eye-opener for me – a military man working in the educational field. I have come to believe in Falun Gong!
The favor of life-saving cannot be repaid. Mr. Li, my wife and I, along with our two children kowtow to you with respect. Thank you!
