(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners from Montreal and Ottawa gathered on the afternoon of May 11, 2013 in Zhongshan Park in Montreal's Chinatown to celebrate the 21st anniversary of Falun Dafa's introduction to the public and the 14th annual World Falun Dafa Day.

When the celebration began, the Divine Land Marching Band was the first to perform, its majestic music attracting attention from passersby. Some people danced to the beat of the music, and enjoyed themselves in the festive atmosphere. Others stopped to watch and take photos, and many took Falun Dafa flyers to learn more about the practice.

Ms. Sun, the host of the celebration, read to the audience the congratulatory letter for World Falun Dafa Day from the Prime Minister of Canada, Mr. Stephen Harper.

The practitioners then demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises in the square in Chinatown. The peaceful and gentle movements were accompanied by the host's explanations in Chinese, English and French. Many people asked for information about how to learn Falun Dafa, and happily took down the time and location for learning the practice in their local areas.

Chinese Community Leader: The CCP's Days are Numbered

A local Chinese community leader passed by the park that day. When he saw the Divine Land Marching Band performing, he quietly asked a Falun Gong practitioner he knew where the band came from. When he learned that the band was composed of Falun Gong practitioners, the community leader was surprised and said, “How unexpected that Falun Gong has so many people practicing, so spectacular. The Chinese Communist Party's days are numbered.”

Many Chinese who had recently come from China were in awe on seeing Falun Gong practitioners' celebratory activity. Many of them declared their withdrawal from the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) and its affiliated organizations with the help of volunteers at the Service Center for Quitting the CCP.
