(Minghui.org) Ever since New Tang Dynasty (NTD) Television produced the first “Global Chinese New Year Spectacular” in 2007, I have watched Shen Yun Performing Arts every year on DVDs in China. When I watch the program, I often applaud in my heart and marvel at it. I feel that it is the most exciting and the best performance I have ever seen. Besides being moved to tears, I feel more of the boundless mercy of Master and the infinite mighty virtue of Dafa, as well as the inspiring righteousness and elegant demeanor displayed on stage by Dafa disciples.
Shen Yun Performing Arts has toured around the world for a few short years and has been well received by people from all walks of life almost everywhere it goes. This is because Shen Yun is a first class performance with great artistic value. Now that Shen Yun has become so popular, it is considered the “best show in the world.” Many professionals, experts, executives, and celebrities have had high praise for Shen Yun. Some audience members believed that they received revelations or heard the voice of gods.
The strange thing is that a ticket for a mainstream classical play can cost over 1,000 yuan in China; a famous painting sells for over 100 million U.S. dollars; expensive jewelry can cost over 10 million U.S. dollars; yet tickets over $100 for Shen Yun sell slowly in some places. Isn’t this something for Dafa disciple to ponder? Are we underestimating the value of Shen Yun? I believe tickets for Shen Yun are not expensive, because the value of Shen Yun cannot be measured with money (at least we should have this understanding). Other than Dafa disciples, there isn’t any performing group in the world that could create such a sacred show, no matter how much money was put into it. I believe if we use a special material or very expensive material to make a high quality Shen Yun DVD (the only “masterpiece” in the world), this “masterpiece” will be priced higher than any mainstream art work in the future. This “masterpiece” will become the most precious art treasure in human history.
I believe that the standpoint from which Dafa disciples consider Shen Yun is very important. Only when we use divine thoughts to see Shen Yun can we see its true value, can we realize its top position on the world stage. Only when we use divine thoughts to promote Shen Yun can we promote it well and achieve the goal of saving people.
Why do I say that? Because Shen Yun is a show that Master himself directed and was involved with, many righteous gods from different levels in other dimensions are helping, so naturally it has the power of gods and supernormal power. On the surface it is Dafa disciples preforming in human form, but behind that is disciples’ divine nature taking effect. The result, of course, is very different from everyday people’s performances.
From the past to the present, there wasn’t and isn’t any performance, including Russian ballet, classical music from Europe, and Broadway shows in the U.S., that can be compared with Shen Yun. When we think about Shen Yun with divine thoughts, our enlightened, original nature will emerge, and the side that attained the Fa will display its extraordinary ability and eliminate the evil beings and factors that are interfering with Fa-rectification and hindering the world's people from being saved. As a result, we are able to do what we need to and help those with predestined relationships to be saved.
If we use our human notions to consider Shen Yun, we may think that the ticket price for Shen Yun is too high, or that the Shen Yun performance is about the same as some mainstream popular performance. If we use human notions to consider Shen Yun, we may use the least expensive material to make Shen Yun DVDs and give them out as everyday people’s gifts. The result can be imagined: many predestined people may not be saved.
Why is it that everyday people have the highest admiration for Shen Yun, but some Dafa disciples do not value it and put it at its rightful place? They judge it subjectively, with a one sided or wrong understanding, so they promote Shen Yun with this not-so-pure or righteous mentality. When we cannot even be as good as an everyday person, how can we be worthy of the title of Dafa disciple? How can we meet Master’s requirement? How can we save sentient beings?
Master said, “good or evil comes from a person’s spontaneous thought, and the thought at that moment can bring about different consequences.” (Zhuan Falun)
I believe that, regardless of whether you are selling tickets overseas, or coordinating the event, or giving out DVDs in China, or making DVDs, as long as we participate in the Shen Yun project, we should use a pure heart to think about Shen Yun and to promote Shen Yun. Only when we change our incorrect notions and mentality and truly have righteous thoughts and actions, can we do well in what a Dafa disciple should do.
