(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Jiang Shue from Laixi City, Shandong Province, worked at an antique shop owned by Mr. Zhang Shengqi. When Mr. Zhang noticed that Ms. Jiang did not show up for work on May 3, 2013, he asked his brother-in-law Wang Ding to look for her. Mr. Wang went to look for Ms. Jiang, but he did not return to the shop. Mr. Zhang asked his wife, Ms. Wang Hong, to find them both, and she did not return either. Mr. Zhang found out that all three were being held by the police. When he went to see about them, he was severely beaten. He learned that the perpetrators were plainclothes agents from Laixi and Laiyang City.
Ms. Jiang worked for Mr. Zhang Shengqi, who is also a Falun Gong practitioner, and Mr. Zhang provided her with housing. On the morning of May 3, 2013, a group of plainclothes police officers from Laixi City secretly drove two cars to Laiyang City. They conspired with agents from the Laiyang 610 Office and broke into Ms. Jiang's residence. They ransacked her home and confiscated most of her personal belongings.
When Mr. Zhang took his customer to Ms. Jiang's residence to show him the merchandise that the customer had ordered, he saw that she, his brother-in-law, and his wife were being held by persons unknown. The perpetrators started hitting Mr. Zhang repeatedly and knocked him down. The ground was muddy from a recent rain, and Mr. Zhang was covered in mud. The police had also injured Mr. Zhang's wife. Never once did the officers show any identification. They were in plainclothes, and there was no indication that they were officers of the law.
Mr. Zhang was later charged with “assaulting a police officer” and “obstructing justice” and held in Laiyang Public Security Bureau, then transferred to the Laiyang Detention Center.
Without showing any legal documents, the agents ransacked Mr. Zhang's antique shop and home. That night, Laiyang police officers Ma Shuguang, Sun Ziwei, and Wang Shenhua again went to loot Mr. Zhang's antique shop and home. They took boxes of CDs, a camera, a laminator, three computers, and other computer items.
One of the officers involved in beating Mr. Zhang was an agent from the Laixi 610 Office. During the arrest, the officers did not identify themselves or show any legal documentation. They were in plainclothes, drove regular cars, and beat Mr. Zhang. He in no way assaulted a police officer. The officers were the ones breaking the law. They committed the crimes of trespass, restriction of personal freedom, robbery, abduction, and assault. They should be punished according to the law and be held responsible for the above losses.
Mr. Wang Ding and Ms. Wang Hong have been released and returned home. Ms. Jiang was taken to Laixi City, and Mr. Zhang is still being held in Laiyang Detention Center.
Ms. Jiang, 46, has been repeatedly arrested and persecuted. On October 8, 2010, police officers from Laixi City arrested her, ransacked her home, and took most of her personal belongings, including a platinum necklace. Fortunately, Ms. Jiang managed to escape.
Seven agents broke into Ms. Jiang's home on December 28, 2011, at 7:00 p.m., and dragged her, without a coat, from the third floor, then shoved her into a police car. She was taken to the Chengguan Police Station and locked in an iron cage. She was transferred to the Dashan Detention Center of Qingdao the next day and held for a month. On January 29, 2012, without following any legal procedures, Ms. Jiang was secretly sent to the Wang Village Detention Center, where she was brutally mistreated. On December 27, 2012, just after she was released, Ms. Jiang was forced by Wang Qingyun, a judge from Laixi Court, to divorce her husband. Ms. Jiang is now homeless and destitute due to the persecution.
