(Minghui.org) Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City claims to “educate, transform, and rescue” people. However, it is in actuality one of the vicious dens where Falun Dafa practitioners are detained and tortured, both physically and mentally.
Every day, guards order practitioners to sit on small stools with both legs together and hands on their laps and repeatedly listen to and watch propaganda materials that defame Falun Gong. The guards also force them to watch propaganda materials that promote the CCP, and to write statements giving up their practice.
Two meetings were held in January, one on the 11th and the other on the 15 th , to force practitioners to write statements that slandered Falun Gong and its founder. For those who refused to do so, the guards reprimanded them and forced them to stand up straight for several hours, beat them, or extended their detention terms.
The following torture methods have been used on practitioners who refused to give up the practice of Falun Gong:
Handcuffing sideways
Their hands would be separately handcuffed to two different beds, restricting their ability to squat or stand up. The guards also stomped hard on their feet. After several hours, the practitioners' arms, hands, stomach and feet became numb and swollen. This caused difficulty in walking.
Stretching limbs
After being stretched for several hours, practitioners would be nauseated and would want to vomit. They were numb from the hands to the feet, in addition to swelling. Their hands would even have difficulty holding small articles such as chopsticks. They had trouble walking and pain in the chest when breathing, and it was almost impossible to turn their bodies over in bed.
Hitting on acupuncture points
Guards would beat them with their fists. They didn't become red or swollen, but painful inside, causing difficulty in breathing. The guards also force-fed and shocked practitioners with electrical batons.
Guards used Yuan Shuzhen to force vicious theories on practitioners. About five or six inmates worked with her alternating shifts of 8-11 am, 1-4 pm, and 7-9 pm, attempting to destroy practitioners' determination.
To physically abuse practitioners, slave labor is common at Masanjia. This includes making clothing, bagging clothing, washing clothing, and cleaning storage goods. Some practitioners thus developed high blood pressure or heart disease. Practitioners who were tortured and stretched in beds still had to work intensively for long periods of time even though their hands and legs were malfunctioning. The labor also included cleaning up trash, the bathroom, snow and so on. To make profits, the guards also ordered practitioners to make dumplings and prepare other food for sale.
When about to be released from Masanjia, practitioners were forced to answer questions such as, “Has anyone physically abused you? Any bribery here? Are the prices fair at the store here?” For practitioners who told the truth or refused to answer, their detention terms were extended.
