(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yan Tingzhen from Wuying, Yichun was illegally sentenced to one and a half years in a forced labor camp. She was brutally tortured there. Her family members were very upset and questioned the person in charge of the forced labor camp. The camp authorities finally promised to release Ms. Yan on April 18. However, when her family went to pick her up, the officials at the camp shamelessly denied that they had agreed to release her on that day. Her family sued the relevant departments and filed a case at the Labor Management Bureau on April 23.
Despite the abuse Ms. Yan has suffered in the camp, she has held fast to her belief in Dafa. She was tortured by being detained in a small solitary confinement room, squatting for a long time, shocked with electric batons, having cold water poured on her, stepped on with heavy shoes, and so on. In order to resist the persecution, she went on a hunger strike for a long time and became very weak as a result. She had several serious heart attacks and once passed out in the dining hall and was unconscious for over 10 minutes. She could not eat anything after that. Since March 18, Ms. Yan has not been allowed to meet with her family.
The person in charge of the Qianjin Forced Labor Camp forced Falun Gong practitioners to write so-called documentaries, which is another brainwashing tactic by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). It is an outrageous violation of human rights to force innocent people to admit to being guilty and to have to praise the persecution endured in the camp. The guards required practitioners to write these kinds of statements weekly.
On the evening of December 30, 2012, Yan Tingzhen refused to recite the rules of the camp or to write any documentaries. So she was brought to the team leader's office on the second floor by Cui Lianlian, the head guard. Team leader Wang Min forced Ms. Yan to stand between two tables for a whole night. At around 7 o'clock the next morning, Wang Min took her to the bathroom, removed all her clothes, and shocked her with electric batons for an hour. She poured water on Ms. Yan frequently and also kicked her and stepped on her hands. After this torture, Ms. Yan could not eat anything.

At the end of January 2013, Ms. Yan wrote in her “documentary” that she was not allowed to sleep. In retaliation, Wang Min took her from her cell, had her clothes removed, and put her in a small solitary confinement room for 24 hours. Her face was slapped until it was swollen. Ms. Yan became very weak, and this is when she had a heart attack and passed out while eating. Falun Gong practitioners around the camp wanted to help her, but guard Zong Zhixiu did not allow them and shouted mockingly, “Haven't you ever seen anyone with heart attack before?”
On February 16, Ms. Yan's brother and sister-in-law learned about her torture and went to visit her. Ms. Yan told them she had been beaten. When her brother asked who beat her, the person in the camp refused to let them talk any more. Ms. Yan's brother questioned them loudly, and even went to the director, and then they allowed them to talk again. Ms. Yan's brother found the relevant departments in the labor bureau, and finally the camp promised him they would not beat her again. They said they would release her on April 18. Ms. Yan's brother believed them and did not take further action.
At around 8 a.m. on April 18, Ms. Yan's parents, brother and sister-in-law and other friends went to pick her up, but the camp refused to release her. The camp publicly lied and has no credibility. The family could not even get past the gate of the camp. In order to get some answers, Ms. Yan’s mother blocked any car from going in and out. The director, Hao, in the camp told her that he had not agreed to release Yan on April 18. In the morning of April 19, her family members went to municipal labor management bureau to appeal, and they set up a case for her on April 23.
Ms. Yan's family members are greatly worried about her physical condition.
