(Minghui.org) With tears running down her face, the 80-year-old woman stood outside the gate of the Guiyang "Law Education and Training Center." She had traveled hundreds of miles to see her son, but Lu Jun, the center director, refused to allow it. She said tearfully, "My son is a good man. I raised him and I know him. I'm in my 80s and traveling is difficult for me. I traveled several hundred miles to see my son, but the director would not let me visit him. If they have any humanity left, they should let me see him.”
Lu Jun not only denied the mother her right to see her son, but also threatened her, “If you don’t quickly leave, I'll have someone come out and videotape you.” Later the center reported her attempt to visit her son to police and claimed she was causing interference. The police came and attempted to take the mother away. However, when the police officers heard the old woman’s story, they were sympathetic and on her behalf asked the center to allow her to see her son. However, she was turned away again. Lu Jun and other center officials shamelessly shouted at her, "You can sue us! We don’t care, go ahead and take us to court or call a reporter.”
She finally left, in tears.
Innocent man arrested
On August 8, 2012, Mr. Zhong Dagang from Jinsha County, Guizhou Province, was arrested and detained at the Guyang Law Education and Training Center. He has been there for more than six months. This place is actually a facility that holds brainwashing sessions for Falun Gong practitioners.
During this past Chinese New Year holiday, the center required Mr. Zhong’s local government to pay tens of thousands of yuan in "living expenses" before he would be allowed go home. Because the local government could not afford that amount, Mr. Zhong remained at the center. Seeking help, his mother went to the police department several times to ask that her son be released, but police officials made excuses to avoid seeing her.
In desperation, the mother took a bus, traveling several hundred miles to the center and asked to see him. However, the center directors, Lu Jun and Ma Jixiang, demanded she get a letter of approval from the local 610 Office and refused to let her in because she did not have the letter. The mother stood at the gate, tearfully pleading to see her son. Her request was rejected, and she was also threatened.
"Law Education Center" or a facility for persecuting practitioners?
The Guiyang Law Education and Training Center, located in Lanniguo, Guiyang City, is the main base where Falun Gong practitioners in the province are persecuted. It is run by the province and city 610 Offices. At the center many practitioners from Guizhou Province were subjected to both mental and physical torture. Recently, four practitioners were persecuted to death. They were: Ms. Bao Liqun, 56, a former police officer and second-level supervisor at Zhongnan Police Station in Nanming District; Ms. Shi Tongwen, 67, retired from Lintun Mining Bureau General Hospital in the Wudang District; Mr. Gao Maosen, 46, former employee of Qingzhen Cotton Mill; and Ms. Liu Yuanzhen, 62.
Ms. Bao Liqun returned home after she had been persecuted at the center. Her diarrhea gradually worsened, and her hearing started to deteriorate. Later she developed frequent bouts of dizziness, congestive heart failure, renal failure, and other symptoms. She died on August 20, 2005, two months after she was released from the center.
Center director Lu Jun, in his 40s, wanted to get into the CCP's political and legal system. He used his ties and “special connections” to get into the system through a back door. Attempting to advance his career, he has committed many crimes and brutally persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. From the day the center opened, Lu has had his hand in every aspect of the center's operations. He is responsible for managing security and collaborators and has organized the persecution of practitioners through brainwashing.
This "Law Education and Training Center" is not legitimate. According to the sign on the gate, it's the "Jinzhu Town Police Station Third Reporting Site."
