(Minghui.org) Ms. Zhang Jinghua is a Falun Dafa practitioner who lives on Sanjiazi Street in Nanpiao District, Huludao City, Liaoning Province. In 1995, before she began to practice Falun Dafa, she was diagnosed with stomach cancer at the Jinzhou City Affiliated Hospital. She went for medical treatments to many hospitals, including the Peking Union Medical College Hospital and Jinzhou City Affiliated Hospital. Instead of returning to good health her condition worsened.
Ms. Zhang suffered from many symptoms associated with her stomach cancer, such as coughing up blood. She could only eat pureed food and any physical movement was very difficult. The family's medical expenses were exorbitant, which made her feel guilty, so she stopped the treatments. She wrote in her last will and testament, “Daughter, after I pass away, you are the only person who can take over responsibility for the family. You have to take good care of your grandparents, father and younger brother.”
Cured after Practicing Falun Dafa
When Ms. Zhang and her family were in great despair, she came across Falun Dafa. Within a few months of practicing Falun Dafa, she could eat regular food. She no longer felt tired when walking and all her symptoms disappeared. Her appearance changed and she became very energetic. This was a true miracle and her family lived again in harmony.
Falun Dafa gave Ms. Zhang Jinghua a second life. She became a firm and steadfast practitioner and lived by the principles Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. Her compassion touched people's hearts and they listened to her carefully when she clarified the facts about Falun Dafa.
Arrested and Sentenced to a Four-Year Prison Term
On July 2, 2012, officers from the Nuancitang Police Station arrested Ms. Zhang Jinghua when she was clarifying the facts about Falun Dafa in Nuancitang. On January 9, 2013, the Nanpiao District Police Bureau, Procuratorate, and Court took Ms. Zhang to court without announcing a verdict that day. On January 31, 2013, the Nanpiao District Court, was ordered by the local 610 Office to sentence Ms. Zhang Jinghua to a four-year prison term.
More than 200 People Signed Petition Requesting Release of Ms. Zhang Jinghua
As soon as Ms. Zhang Jinghua's friends, relatives, and fellow villagers were told about the prison sentence, they immediately took action to pressure the court. They submitted a petition demanding that the court listen to the facts, follow existing law, and release Ms. Zhang Jinghua.
