(Minghui.org) I am 37 years old and a teacher at Longshan Mine Kindergarten in Kunming City, Yunnan Province. I have been detained twice and sentenced to a labor camp once for practicing Falun Gong. I have filed claims to the Procuratorate of Kunming City and Anning City requesting the investigation and punishment of those participating in the persecution, and I have also asked for compensation for physical and psychological damages, as well as economic losses.
I started practicing Falun Gong in 1996, when one of my colleagues gave me the book Zhuan Falun. In the fourth chapter, Master talks about loss and gain as well as the issue of xinxing improvement. After reading this, things suddenly became clear to me. At the time, I had some conflicts with my supervisors and was under a lot of pressure at work, so I was in a bad mood every day and looked very ill. After reading that chapter, I immediately gained an inner strength and felt a warm current go from the top of my head through my whole body. My colleagues were surprised at how I suddenly looked much better. That's how I entered the path of cultivation.
Before becoming a practitioner, I had severe nasitis and had to go to hospital every month. I had difficulty breathing, and often felt dizzy or had a pain in my head. After practicing Dafa, my nasitis completely disappeared, and I stopped going to the hospital. Also, I followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to continuously examine my xinxing and improve my moral character.
Arrested and detained for the first time
He Shaodong, the head of the security department of Longshan Mine of Kun Steel Inc., came to my home on November 4, 2000, and took me to the security department. That night, Li Xuefen, another Falun Gong practitioner in my department, and I were interrogated at the security department office. We were then transferred to Kungang Police Station the next day, where we were interrogated again for the whole day. On November 6, we were transferred to the 2 nd Detention Center at Kunming and were detained there for almost a month. We were not given any documentation for this detention.
Officers from Kungang Police Station came to the detention center on December 4, 2000 to collect Li Xuefen and me. We were taken back to Kungang Police Station. He Shaodong then took us to the security department of Longshan Mine, where we were detained on the second floor for about a month. During that period, Yang Guoshou, Party Secretary of Longshan Mine; Xu Shishen, Deputy Party Secretary of Longshan Mine; and He Shaodong, Li Xingkui and Zhao Rongwei often tried to force us to renounce our belief and made us watch videos slandering the Falun Gong. Every night, King Liping from the security department locked us in a separate room.
One month later, we were forced to write a guarantee statement stating that we would never practice Falun Gong again. Only then were we released. They also extorted 484 Yuan from us for a month of meal fees.
After I returned home, the police monitored me for one more month. Then people from Kungang Police Station removed the monitor on February 27, 2001.
Arrested for the second time and sentenced to a forced labor camp
Just as I arrived at my work place at 8 a.m. on October 22, 2004, Shi Yi, from the Anning Domestic Security Division, and five other officers showed me a search warrant and told me to take them to my home. When I did not cooperate with them, Shi Yi then used force to take me there. I would not open my front door for them, so Shi Yi kicked the door open. The police rushed in and searched everywhere. They took a photo of Master Li Hongzhi and my Falun Gong materials.
I was kept at the Anning Detention Center, where I was interrogated by Shi Yi, Li Hangyu and Li Xinghua (all from the domestic security division) and Li Xinhua (from Kungang 610 Office). After I was detained for one month, I was sentenced to 2 years and taken to Yunnan Women's Labor Camp until July 16, 2006.
It was illegal to detain and sentence me, so I ask the juridical departments to investigate the crimes of those who arrested me, detained me, searched my house and sentenced me to a labor camp. I ask for compensation for my spiritual and economic loss based on the “National Compensation Law.” Moreover, I ask for a public apology to restore my reputation.
