(Minghui.org) Mr. Wang Simin, 50, is a farmer from Beima Village, Linyi County, Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province. He has been subjected to over a decade of persecution for his faith. He is currently detained.
Mr. Wang regained his health after he began to practice Falun Gong. As a result, he and his wife were able to take care of dozens of acres land filled with fruit trees. The family have often shared crop from their fruit trees with fellow villagers, and people who know Mr. Wang agree that he is a good person.
However, since the Chinese communist regime began to persecute Falun Gong in 1999, many good people like Mr. Wang have been subjected to senseless suffering.
In 2002, Mr. Wang was arrested and illegally sentenced to three years in prison by the Linyi County Court for practicing Falun Gong. He spent one year in the Linyi Detention Center and the other two in the Jinzhong Prison. He was released in 2006.
Mr. Wang was arrested again just before the 18 th Chinese Communist Party National Congress in 2012. Agents from the Linyi 610 Office and local police carried out the arrest.
Under the orders of the 610 Office, the Linyi Procuratorate and Linyi Court scheduled his trial for May 3, 2013. The authorities were colluding to send Mr. Wang to Jinzhong Prison once more.
Persecution at Jinzhong Prison
The Jinzhong Prison in Qi County, Shanxi Province, has detained and persecuted numerous Falun Gong practitioners. Wardens manipulate convicted criminals to torture practitioners in order to force them to give up their belief.
Practitioners have been put under 24-hour surveillance, subjected to humiliation, forced to stand still for prolonged periods of time, forced to do slave labor, subjected to beatings, put in solitary confinement, deprived of sleep, and more.
Warden Wei Dong from Ward No. 15 has been especially brutal in abusing practitioners. He instructed convicted murderer Li Fengzhi and two other inmates, Hu Fengjun and Zhao Guisheng, to torture practitioners around the clock. As a result, Mr. Wu Baoshan from Houma City was severely beaten, Mr. Mao Xiuyun from Wutaishan City was tortured till his legs were badly swollen, and Mr. Liu Derun from Suzhou City was beaten with rubber-wrapped sticks.
Mr. Lu Haixing, one of the practitioners detained at the prison, had been an electronic engineer in Houma City, Shanxi. He was put under surveillance, beaten and humiliated, forced to stand motionless and deprived of sleep for long periods of time, put into solitary confinement, and forced to perform slave labor. He died as a result of the persecution on January10, 2012. He was only 45 years of age.
Another practitioner, Mr. Guo Xiaowen from Yuan County, Changzhi City, Shanxi, was admitted into the prison on March 6, 2012. He passed away six days later, on March 12, 2012, at the age of 40.
