Witnessing the Wonders of Falun Dafa
When I learned that a prisoner who was involved in kidnapping and selling people often informed on me to the guards, I did not hate her but took pity on her. I advised her not to do immoral things like that anymore. But she did not take my advice and kept informing on me. I told her that if she wanted to avoid creating karma out of ignorance, she should just be quiet. In the following days, she could not speak, but only nod or shake her head to answer any questions. I again advised her to stop informing on me. This time she nodded and accepted my advice and was able to talk again.
A guard said, “Falun Gong is wonderful! All Falun Gong practitioners I know are good and honest. Please teach me how to do the exercises.” I taught that prison guard how to recite some poems from Hong Yin.
When I was seized and sent to a detention center for the second time, I met a female prisoner named Xiao Xue (alias), who knew that Falun Gong practitioners are good people but had a difficult time believing in the miracles she heard about Falun Gong. At the time it was winter, and she was freezing, even with two quilts. After we were together for a few days, she wondered why she felt hot. I explained to her that it was because I was a practitioner with energy, and she was benefiting from being around me. She was then able to see Dafa in a positive light from then on, so I was able to teach her how to recite some poems from Hong Yin . She was not able to fall sleep due to a red lump on her lower back. I encouraged her to sincerely recite, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” Gradually she felt better and finally the lump disappeared completely. She cried, “Falun Gong is so amazing! Without taking any medicine, the lump just disappeared!” Other prisoners said that she benefited a lot from staying with me.
One day she asked me, “Why do you refuse to wear the detention center uniform?” I replied, “Falun Gong is innocent! I am not a convict!” She understood what I was talking about and threw away her uniform, too. In addition her appeal to be released on medical parole was approved fairly soon. Even the guards were surprised. This was the first case approved like that in that facility.
Falun Gong Is Good and Your Master Is Really Great
Since I refused to take part in the forced labor, some prisoners always cursed me. I did not hate them but rather clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to them and explained why I refused to comply with the demands.
One day one of them was injured when a pin stuck in her thumb. I said a few comforting words to her. Afterwards, she did not curse me anymore and was polite to me.
A cellmate who was previously a part of the criminal underground was sleeping on the lower bunk. I had to step on a stool to climb to the upper bunk, but that cellmate didn't like the stool being placed too close to her bunk, so she would often kick it away. I said smilingly, “I am so sorry! I'll put the stool elsewhere next time.” Other cellmates asked me in surprise, “Why do you treat her so politely? How can you control your temper?” Gradually this cellmate changed her attitude towards me and apologized for her rudeness.
On New Year's Eve, a new cellmate kept vomiting, agitating the others who started cursing her. I got up and assisted her by washing her sheets, quilt, and clothes. The next morning, some cellmates wondered, “Why are you so kind?” I answered, “My Master teaches me to be kind.” A prisoner known by the alias of Xiao Juan said, “Your Master is so great!”
Since that night, Xiao Juan always liked to stay with me and would say, “Please let me know whenever you need any help.” When asked why she treated me so kindly, she answered, “I was touched by your kindness.” Every day she would ask me to tell her more about Falun Gong. I wrote down Lunyu from memory for her. One night she whispered, “Please teach me how to do the exercises.” She said she was not worried about being punished if the prison guards caught her. In addition, she wrote a report citing me as an example of a good person and a good samaritan in the detention center.
Personal Monitors Withdraw from the CCP and Its Organizations
A few months before I was released, two personal monitors with advanced degrees were told to “transform” me. They had been in touch with practitioners before and knew that Falun Gong was good. I knew one of them worked in the field of economics. I told her my understanding about the current economic condition in China from when I worked for a statistics agency. Many figures were inflated and were only estimates submitted by certain leaders. They tried to force me to watch brainwashing videos. I shared my understanding about traditional culture with them since they knew a little about it. A few months later, they changed their minds completely and agreed to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.
On one occasion, a female police officer that I often used to clarify the truth to once asked me, “What exactly is it that you are so insistent on believing in?” I answered, “The truth and conscience.”.She then asked, “How much does a conscience cost?” Then I rhetorically asked her in reply, “Is a conscience something that can be bought?” She was speechless in astonishment.
I hope more and more people listen to their conscience, learn the truth, and are saved in the future.
