(Minghui.org) Several Falun Dafa practitioners from Xinfa Village, Sifeng, Jiamusi were harassed repeatedly in 2012 by the Jiamusi Suburban Domestic Security Division and Sifengxiang Police Station. The police confiscated their personal belongings, extorted money, and threatened their families. Their family members became very fearful, and their harmonious lives were turned upside down.
Chen Shiyou, a police officer from the Sifengxiang Police Station, along with an officer with the surname of Pang from the Domestic Security Division and two other men, came to Sifeng Xinfa Village on May 10, 2012. They went to the house of Mr. Ning You to ask for his whereabouts and were told that Mr. Ning You had left to work at another city. Chen Shiyou said to Pang, “His family is a meeting place for practitioners.” The police then ransacked Mr. Ning You's house and yard without showing a search warrant.
They confiscated seven Falun Dafatruth clarification banners and photos of the founder of Falun Dafa. They took the family's computer, claiming that they had to search it. Before leaving, they told Mr. Ning's family, “If Ning You returns, tell him to come to the Domestic Security Division.”
Pang later went to Mr. Ning You's house twice and threatened his family. They said, “Ning You works in another city to hide from us. You can tell him that even if he hides from us today we will find him sooner or later. We will then sentence him to a three or five year prison term.”
Mr. Ning's family was frightened and felt helpless. Actually, Pang wanted the family to bribe him. When Pang realized that Mr. Ning's family did not get the hint, he sent someone to ask the family to pay 5,000 yuan. That person told Pang, “5,000 yuan is too much for Ning You's family. They don't even have enough money to complete their new house. Their new house is very cold now. They can't afford 5,000 yuan.” Therefore, Pang reduced the bribe to 3,000 yuan, which Mr. Ning's family paid out of fear of further harassment and imprisonment.
The entire episode devastated the family and Mr. Ning You's mother became ill. Every time people talked about the police, she became incontinent.
The police then ransacked Mr. Liu You's house, also without a search warrant. They confiscated seven discs of the Shen Yun Performing Arts show and a photo of the founder of Falun Dafa. They told his family, “After Liu You returns, tell him to go to the police station.” These police officers harassed Mr. Liu You's family again on September 11 and October 20, 2012.
They then proceeded to Mr. Ning Kun's house and intimidated him. They asked, “Do you still practice Falun Dafa? If you do, we have to arrest you.” They ransacked Mr. Ning Kun's house, including the room of his daughter-in-law, who does not practice Falun Dafa, frightening the entire family.
They continued their harassment of practitioners and went to Mr. Zhao You's and Mr. Zhao Chenjia's house. There was no one at home, so the police returned to their stations.
