(Minghui.org) I am Wang Xiaodong, a Falun Gong practitioner from Huadian City in Jilin Province. I used to suffer from many illnesses before I practiced Falun Gong, and was hospitalized in March 1991 due to a serious blood disorder. The doctor couldn't cure me and asked me to transfer to another hospital. I didn’t have the money to continue with medical treatment, so I had to return home instead. During the six years between 1991 to 1997, I was tormented by the illness and really thought that I couldn’t go on with my life. My health worsened and I had to be cared for by my mother.
In May 1997, I was fortunate to obtain the Fa. Through cultivation and by following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, my health fully recovered and I felt energetic again.
When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, the lies and propaganda published in the media were overwhelming. In order to let people know the truth about Falun Gong, I went to Beijing to appeal three times. I was arrested by officers from the Political Security Office in the Huadian City Police Department and was sentenced to one year of forced labor.
I was taken to Huanxiling Forced Labor Camp in Jilin City, where I was forced to sit on a wooden board from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.. Guards in the camp instructed inmates to beat me on the second day after I arrived there. Eighteen inmates lined up to beat me because I had talked to other Falun Gong practitioners. They forced me to sit on the floor facing the wall. They then pushed my head against the wall and kicked me in the lower back. They also beat me with a wooden board. I refused to write a guarantee statement, so guards pushed me onto a bed and shocked me with three electric batons. An inmate once sat on practitioner Mr. Xu Baiyi’s neck and punched him in the head.

My term in the labor camp was extended by five months because I refused to give up my belief.
When I was out fetching water at home on the morning of March 11, 2006, I was arrested by Yu Jinji and five other officers from the Domestic Security Division in Huadian.
I was taken to the second floor of the Huadian City Police Department, where I was tied to an iron chair. Officers poured more than half a bottle of gasoline in a spring water bottle into my nose. I couldn’t open my eyes and kept spitting out the gasoline. The officers just stood there and laughed at me. They then cuffed my right hand to the iron chair and tied my left hand down with rope. They wrapped my hand with a towel before putting the rope on it so there wouldn't be any marks on my wrist.

Yu Jinji then stood on the left side of the iron chair, while another officer stood on the right side. They pulled me from both sides, almost breaking my arms. After the torture I was taken to the detention center. My ribs were severely injured, and it took me three and a half months to recover. To protest the persecution, I started a hunger strike. Guards at the detention center force-fed me, and I was quickly soaked in sweat from the excruciating pain.
In March 2006, I was sentenced to seven years in Gongzhuling Prison in Siping City in Jilin Province. I was put in solitary confinement on February 25, 2007, because I refused to do the forced labor. There were no windows in the cell, and I was tied to a torture implement called the “dead man's bed” for twelve days. The guards fixed both of my heels to a cold metal plate. When I was released from the “dead man's bed” I was unable to walk properly. It took me almost three months to recover.
Guards in Gongzhuling Prison intensified the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in August 2010, and took us to the Education Department on the third floor. We were forced to sit on a small stool and watch videos slandering Falun Gong. A room on the second floor, which was less than 10 square meters, was padded with foam over one-foot thick covering the walls and floor. Prison guards instructed an inmate to take off my clothes and to tie my hands behind my back. They then pushed me to the ground and shocked me with at least two electric batons. They shocked my head, mouth, chin, penis and inner legs. leaving my whole body swollen. Officer Zong Mingjun asked me while shocking me: “Do you choose Falun Gong or your family?” The guards then deprived me of sleep for four days, while four inmates from Ward 7 were sent to monitor me.

Mr. Cai Fuchen was arrested in 2004 and was sentenced to ten years in Gongzhuling Prison. He was often put in solitary confinement and was shocked with electric batons. In 2008, director Liu Haiyong put him in a small cell in Ward 7 because he refused to do the forced labor, and tied him to a “dead man's bed”. Liu Haiyong kicked Mr. Cai’s chest with his heavy shoes and shocked his head, genitals and other body parts. He was severely injured.
When the guards started sending practitioners to the Education Department for intensified persecution in August 2010, Mr. Cai was one of them. He was persecuted to death on September 15, 2010.
