(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 4 provinces. According to this report, 11 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 9 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Tongcheng County, Hubei Province] Ms. Lei Shengli Imprisoned

3. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Ms. Fu Hui Tortured in Police Custody
4. [Chongqing] Ms. Li Zhengying and Ms. Liu Guolian Arrested
5. [Huainan, Anhui Province] Seven Practitioners Imprisoned
6. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Ms. He Ren and Ms. Deng Xiangfeng Arrested
7. [Qingdao, Shandong Province] Ms. Lu Xueqin and Other Practitioners Arrested
1. [Tongcheng County, Hubei Province] Ms. Lei Shengli Imprisoned
Ms. Lei Shengli was sentenced to three years in prison on March 26, 2013. She was transferred to the Wuhan Women's Prison on April 19, 2013.
2. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhu Dazhen and Ms. Mou Arrested
Ms. Zhu Dazhen and Ms. Mou from Kai County, Chongqing, were arrested by the local police on May 1, 2013, when they went to Jiulongshan to clarify the facts about Falun Gong to people.
Ms. Mou was released that day. Ms. Zhu Dazhen is still being held.

3. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Ms. Fu Hui Tortured in Police Custody
Ms. Fu Hui went to Shenyang to practice Falun Gong exercises with other practitioners from Heilongjiang Province. She was arrested on March 21, 2013.
Police from the Dadong Police Department tortured her in order to extort a “confession.” The police tied her to an iron chair and shocked her with electric batons. They also inserted toothpicks into her fingernails. When she fainted, they poured cold water on her. Ms. Fu's face turned black and blue, and she became very weak and had difficulty walking as a result of the torture.
Ms. Li Yuping from Shenyang was also tortured at the Shenyang No.1 Detention Center. As a result, she became very weak and required support to walk.
4. [Chongqing] Ms. Li Zhengying and Ms. Liu Guolian Arrested
Ms. Li Zhengying and Ms. Liu Guolian from Tongliang County, Chongqing, were arrested by officers from the Guanjian Town Police Station while they spoke to people about Falun Gong in Guanjian Town on the morning of April 1, 2013.
The two practitioners were held until 2 a.m. the next morning. The police extorted 5,000 yuan from their families before they were released. Ms. Li Zhengying's home was also ransacked; the police confiscated Falun Gong books and other property.
5. [Huainan, Anhui Province] Seven Practitioners Imprisoned
The following practitioners are currently incarcerated in the Suzhou Prison: Ms. Huang Chunrong was arrested on April 9, 2012, and sentenced to seven years in prison; Mr. Tan Deqing was arrested on February 22, 2012, and sentenced to three years in prison; Ms. Wang Yuxiang was arrested on August 22, 2011, and sentenced to three years in prison; Ms. Wang Xiaohong was arrested on April 13, 2010, and sentenced to five years in prison; Ms. Li Fang was arrested in 2010 and sentenced to seven years in prison.
Ms. Zhang Yanmei was arrested on March 16, 2012, and sentenced to three years in prison. She is serving the sentence outside of prison.
Ms. Guo Guanghua was arrested on September 22, 2011. She was sent to the Baofeng Forced Labor Camp in Xuancheng that night.
6. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Ms. He Ren and Ms. Deng Xiangfeng Arrested
Ms. He Ren, 62, and Ms. Deng Xiangfeng, 73, from Tiexi District were arrested by officers from the Qigong Police Station on the afternoon of May 2, 2013, because they talked to people about Falun Gong.
The police confiscated bills worth about 1,000 yuan with words about Falun Gong written on them. They also confiscated Falun Gong books and informational materials.
Ms. Deng was released early the next day. Ms. He was held for 10 days in the Sifangtai Detention Center.
7. [Qingdao, Shandong Province] Ms. Lu Xueqin and Other Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Lu Xueqin and several other practitioners were arrested on May 2, 2013, and sent to the Shaoxinglun Brainwashing Cener. Ms. Wang Taojing from Jiaonan was arrested at home the same day.
Ms. Cui Luning was also recently arrested and is being held at the Pudong Detention Center in Jimo. Mr. Yang Naijian, Mr. Feng Hua and Li Hao (not a practitioner) are missing.
