Additional Persecution News from China – May 11, 2013 (14 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from mainland China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 7 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 18 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Xingwen County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Xu Qiyang, Mr. Gao Chaojun and Mr. Huang Shunkun Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Xu Qiyang, Mr. Gao Chaojun and Mr. Huang Shunkun were sentenced to prison by the judge from Xingwen County Court on May 7, 2013 without informing their families. Mr. Xu was sentenced to eight years, Mr. Gao was sentenced to seven years and Mr. Huang was sentenced to six years.

2. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cui Xiulian Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Cui Xiulian used to work at Jinshanwa Cement Plant. She was arrested at her home on April 26, 2013 and was taken to the Jiangjia Village Brainwashing Center.

3. [Yiyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Leng Xuefei and Others Arrested

Ms. Leng Xuefei, Ms. Guo Lamei, Ms. Xiang Biyun and Ms. Zhao Xia from Yiyang City were arrested by officers from Taojiang County Domestic Security Division on the evening of May 5, 2013 while distributing truth clarification materials in Taojiang. Ms. Guo is being held at the Yiyang City No. 2 Detention Center. The current whereabouts of the other arrested practitioners are unknown.

4. [Pingjiang County, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Bihua, Ms. Mao Yuhua and Ms. Xu Panxiang Arrested

Pingjiang County residents Ms. Liu Bihua, 50; Ms. Mao Yuhua, 70; and Ms. Xu Panxian were arrested by officers from Tianyue Police Station on the evening of May 8, 2013. They were followed by head of Pingjiang 610 Office Zhan Xiru and then arrested. They are being held at Pingjiang County Detention Center.

5. [Liquan County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Feng Jianying's Son Arrested

Ms. Feng Jianying's son was arrested by officers from Liquan County Domestic Security Division on May 8, 2013. Three of their computers were confiscated.

6. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Junying and Others Arrested

Ms. Yang Junying from Langfang City, Ms. Jin Lanzhen from Xianghe County, Ms. Wang Fengyu from Dachang County and Ms. Wang Xiaoxuan from Sanhe City were arrested by officers from Dachang County Police Station on April 23, 2013. They are being held at Langfang Brainwashing Center.

7. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Qiao Xifu Sentenced

Mr. Qiao Xifu, 54, and his wife Ms. Yang Naifen, 50, from Boshan District in Zibo City were arrested at their home by Zhai Shengang and over a dozen officers from the local domestic security division on the evening of October 17, 2012. Their computer, printer, Dafa books and other Dafa materials were confiscated. Ms. Yang was later taken to the Zibo City Brainwashing Center. She was released on November 3, 2012 because of high blood pressure. Mr. Qiao was sentenced to four and a half years in prison. He is being held at Boshan Detention Center.

8. [Beijing] Ms. Lu Guilan Arrested

Ms. Lu Guilan from the Dongxiang Residential Area in Shunyi District, Beijing was arrested by officers from Guangming Police Station on the afternoon of May 9, 2013 while she was clarifying the truth to people. Another practitioner, Ms. Li, was arrested along with her. Their homes were ransacked and their Dafa materials were confiscated. They are being held at the local police station.

9. [Shanghai] Ms. Zhou Lin Arrested

Ms. Zhou Lin from the Donglu Residential Area in Pudong District, Shanghai was arrested on her way to work on the afternoon of May 8, 2013. She was taken to Zhangjiang Detention Center.

10. [Dayi County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xiong Xiuying Arrested

Ms. Xiong Xiuying from Hanchang Town, Dayi County was arrested by officers from Hanchang Town Police Station while she was on her way to the market on the morning of May 3. 2013. Her home was ransacked.

11. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Mr. Lu Fengtian Taken to Shandong Province Prison

Mr. Lu Fengtian from Yishui County was sentenced to 10 years in prison by the judge from Qingzhou City Court at the end of 2012. He was taken to Shandong Province Prison at the beginning of April, 2013.

12. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Ms. Hu Dongxia Arrested

Ms. Hu Dongxia from Xiangtan City was arrested at her home by officers from Yuhu Domestic Security Division and Heling Police Station in Xiangtan City on the morning of May 9, 2013. Her home was ransacked.

13. [Huili County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wu Congmei Taken to Longquanyi Women's Prison

Ms. Wu Congmei, in her 70s, was sentenced to three years in prison by the judge from Huili County Court. She was taken to Longquanyi Women's Prison by officers from Huili Domestic Security Division, and the local detention center on April 24, 2013.

Mr. Mo Qibing from Hengbanqiao Village, Huaguoshan, Taojiang County was arrested on May 30, 2013. His current whereabouts are unknown.
