(Minghui.org) Ms. Zhen Xiuqin is 74 years old and lives in the city of Daqing. On June 25, 2013, she was notified by the Labor Union where she worked to go return a fee she had collected. She never returned home. Her family went to her workplace to try to find her. The workplace claimed that she was taken to the “Legal Education School,” which is simply a brainwashing center. But they refused to tell the family the actual address of the facility. They even told the family that they could not disclose the location even if they knew the address.
Before Ms. Zhen began practicing Falun Gong, she was very ill. She had hypertension as well as serious heart issues that produced painful symptoms every winter. She had to stay in bed and get injections. She also had arthritis. When it flared up, she had no strength in her legs and had difficulty going downstairs. After her husband passed away in 1991, she suffered from depression. Even her children had to be careful when talking to her, to avoid making her unhappy.
When her health problems became so severe that she barely take care of herself, Ms. Zhen discovered Falun Gong. Soon after taking up the practice, all of the diseases were gone, and she became happy, as if she were a new person.
Zhen Xiuqin often told people, "After I started to practice Falun Gong, I became so healthy. I cannot be ungrateful. I must tell the government what Falun Gong is and let everyone know that Falun Dafa is good.”
In 2000, she visited Beijing twice to appeal for Falun Gong and refute the Communist regime's lies about Falun Gong. She was arrested both times. The first time, she was detained for a month. The second time, she was taken to a forced labor camp for one year.
In July 2008, before the Beijing Olympics, the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) conducted mass arrests of Falun Gong practitioners in the Dalian area. Because Ms. Zhen was not at home at that time, she avoided arrest. In August 2012, personnel from the Office of Social Stability at work and other departments went to her home to seize her, but she escaped.
This time Zhen Xiuqin was targeted for arrest again for no reason. She was detained and taken to a brainwashing center. Her children are very worried about her safety.
